i personally feel like there should at least be slightly more gore. slightly. When a grunt gets shot in the head by a battle rifle, and a his head is perfectly intact, not even a texture to show where he was hit, it ruins the realism for me. Im not saying i'd like to see grunts being ripped limb from limb, but i really want to at least see hit textures (Halflife series is a good example). It makes it seem more real. If anything should be done gore-wise to make halo seem darker, it should be that.

He actually has a very valid point, leave him alone.
I need not remind you that this is Bungie's last Halo game, so think about this; would it really be well received by everybody?
In the books, Spartans are depicted as efficient killers, but also posess super strength and engage in hand to hand combat with the covenant.
In short, a little bit more gore or blood would do the game good, and so would quick, brutal combat moves, but it shouldn't be unnecessary or over the top.
There has to be the perfect amount to something.
For instance, breaking off a grunt's arm and leavning him to die would be all right, but the whole grenade in his mouth is unnecessary when the same result could be achieved simply...by just throwing a grenade into the group of enemies.
Umm, I was being sarcastic...Maybe I did not make it obvious enough. My bad.
