What are you, Republican? The changes were welcome and made the game fresh.

ok im a republican and i agree with him. people buy halo games because of what bungie made i halo CE and if it is drastically different then it wont be halo. a few changes will be ok but bungie shouldn't change they game too too much. update the engine make the enemies a tad smarter. bring back fast forward/rewind in theatre, better graphics and have a deep in depth story line and have a great multiplayer and a ton of people will be happy. it sound like a lot but rly its not

spell check please?

Grammar check please? Seriously learn to write a sentence next time you flame.
well, if your going to make a long OP, then you can at least spell stuff right. making a single statement like i did doesn't require grammar.

What are you, retarded? Don't insult other peoples political beliefs.

He's making a commentary on his conservative attitude, not randomly bashing his political stance. So you sir are the retard here.

I am hoping that they DO change the game. While I have played and enjoyed every Halo game, I hoping that while it keeps the Halo feel, they speed up the MP gameplay like it was in H2. H3 feels slower to me and always has. Only time will tell.

  • 10.12.2009 5:15 PM PDT

1. Halo 2 was very horrible for Halo Combat Evolved enthusiasts.

2. Halo 3 was actually more welcome in comparison to Halo 2 for many Halo Combat Evolved veterans.

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

"Change is scary!!!! :*( I don't like it mommy... waaaaaaa!"

Embrace change. You'll like it.

Um... I like Halo? I don't really know what to say. I'm a student at the moment, I hope to become a criminal profiler, and I enjoy pretty much everything as long as it's good.

Thank you. Matter of fact I'm shooting you a friend request on XBL.

now you have to bring political vews (too lazy to find the spelling) into this?
anyway theyll probably make it a bit like all halo games

There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I would have been your daddy, but the dog beat me over the fence."

So basically, you want them to re-release Halo 3 with a different campaign? How about no?

I can't wait to see what they do with this one. The 'Halo formula' has been getting a little old simply because they made hardly any changes, so hopefully Reach will be full of fresh ideas, while still holding a similar feel.

I think the word he should have used was Conservative. While that is the name of a British political party, it's also a word that essentially means 'to keep the same'.

  • 10.12.2009 5:29 PM PDT

Being close minded to a new style of play is very ignorant. Sure at first you might not like it, but once you get used to it, I'm sure you will like it. Like the first time you drink Dr. pepper or Coca cola, you might hate it (like I did), but after a few sips, you end up liking it.

The most important thing is to not go into the new game with same battle plan as you had for the old one. Adapt.

And those who say change is great. Not always. Just because something is different, doesn't mean it is better. Being balanced is better than choosing either total change, or keeping it the same. Extremes never turn out well. Why do you think people like moderate climates?

I've been through the transition between all halo's, so, get used to it, it is going to happen, weather you like it or not. Besides, it is not like they are going to make it like Battlefield or Call of Duty? hell, id prefer it to be like dem good ol' days of HCE.

My name is from Star Wars. Now you know.

Feel free to follow me on my twitter and stalk me.

I just hope it still has that "Halo feel" to it. the same feel I've gotten from every game in the franchise. As long as it doesn't change to a point that it's like CoD or GoW, I'm fine.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

Don't be dumb. This isn't political.

And why should anyone be worried? Here I am hoping they do something special with this. That would include taking some chances and switching things up. We shouldn't want more of the same, we should want to see a bit of an evolution of the Halo that we all love. Freshen it up a bit, just like they did with ODST.

Players like myself, we are so used to the way Halo 3 is and works, and if Halo Reach is very different, I am scared I and others will not like it.

I hope Bungie keeps it like Halo and doesn't change/add new things. The transition from Halo 2 to 3 was VERY hard for myself and others because of equipment, crappier maps, not as a good of a campaign as Halo 2 etc...

I am scared Halo Reach might, *might be disappointment if they change too much. I mean, ODST was cool, and THAT was a change, but in a fun way, not in a bad way. I enjoyed ODST but if Reach is drastically different, it might totally be a horrible game or to much like COD or something.

Bungie just please keep it like Halo, make the campaign incredible, not a let down, and make the multipleyer like either Halo 2's or Halo 3's no different (COD style or class BS). If I see any more change my eyes will hurt and the multiplayer just might not be of the hardcore Halo players' tastes.

Who else is worried? Hopefully we get more info on it soon so we know to be worried about it or not.

Honestly I am not expecting anything until we get more info, I expected a lot out of Halo 3 that wasn't there, I learned my lesson as did some others.

This is actually really funny being that there was such a huge departure in gameplay between CE and 2&3 for the Halo games. Several CE fans were irritated with the new simplicity brought about by the new titles, and cemented further by Halo3.

Being as this title is not bound by the chains of "the sequal" there is a chance that it will have some individuality from the other Halo titles. Personally I think some key changes would be a breath of fresh air, even though it is still the most popular MP game on xbl (more often than not anyway) it has grown very stale, and in it's current state, the gameplay is really just kind of boring.

i dont suck at it i am good at it but it will make game play beter

  • 10.12.2009 6:37 PM PDT

How to spell "space"?

S-P-ACE! SPACE!

"Hardcore", as in takes the game too seriously?

I am not scared, Halo Reach will be good (And hopefully not cater as much to the Hardass" [Hardcore] groups that H3 did).

Neg ratio says otherwise. I don't care if the skilled weapon is a BR, a pistol, or another rifle. As long as there is a weapon that can kill from all ranges and isn't the sniper rifle we are good. I can guarantee that there will be a skilled, non-automatic weapon in REACH. I'm 100% positive.

great and resonable thread and I am scared because i dont want bungie to die

  • 10.12.2009 8:07 PM PDT

Halo has been more of a success BECAUSE of the change. Tell me, would you really want the exact same crap from Halo 1 into Halo 2 and 3? Basic stuff needs to stay, like the classic weapons, and if one is out, then replace it with something that resembles it (Talking about the Transition from Assault Rifle to Battle Rifle), but we need to change some things in order to make the old Halo, the new Halo. In Reach, there WILL be changes in the game, and it will most likely be BIG changes. Since this is Bungie we're talking about, then most of these changes will be good.

Warning: You may find that my, or someone else's opinion does not comply with yours. Side effects of disagreement may include (but are not limited to): flaming, irrational behavior, broken keyboards, and/or nervous sweats. If you experience any of these symptoms refrain from communicating with others until the symptoms have subsided.

I think that one of the reasons that they threw ODST into the mix was to kind of transition into Reach, to see how players would react to a more strategic "non-superpowered" player. I think Bungie is looking to return to Halo's roots while, as the kids say, keeping it real. I think Bungie will be saving their truly "new" ideas for their new IP. You don't need to worry about it so much, Halo: Reach will be a fine game.
