Many people think that the Elites in Halo 3 and Halo 2 look too hunched over and not as cool as the Elites from Halo 1.

What I am suggesting is that they make Spartans just a little taller, and Elites and Brutes (if they are in multiplayer, which I hope happens) would be just a bit shorter.

This wouldn't be very noticeable at all and since Reach is a completely new game its not like it would look weird at all (in other words, the Halo 3 Spartans aren't getting stretched, the Reach Spartans are just taller).

By doing this, Bungie would make Elites (and Brutes too) look cooler and more desirable to play as and also making them balanced.

Tallahassee?
I spent two weeks in Tallahassee one night.

Spartans are around 7 feet tall and Elites are slightly taller but more graceful. And Brutes are well Brutes about 8 feet tall and super powerful.

Were it so easy.

Brutes are NOT 8 feet, maybe 7 '3'.

What's the problem with them all being different heights?

What's the problem with them all being different heights?
People complaining about their size being an advantage/disadvantage, when faced with: Headshots, hit-boxes, jumping, et cetera.

As long as they can be used, and may be remotely equal in most of their ways, I'll be OK with it.

Maybe those people who complain should just admit that they suck at Halo and get over it. I'll be fine with whatever Bungie decides to do, though.

If only they could accept that.

I could really care less how they turn out, the only thing about that I do care about is Variation.

More choices and the ability too add more(if possible)

I really hope they make Elites stand up straight, it's like their evolutionary timeline is going in reverse.

Major grade 2 telling me I suck? Now I've seen everything.

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

I wish Bungie would embrace the differences instead of balancing them.

Elites should be bigger, they should have no HUD; Brutes should have a rage mode... That would actually make me want to play as them atleast sometimes.

Even moreso, when the differences would clearly be there, people wouldn't speculate about hitboxes and dinosaurs. Bungie could lock certain gametypes for certain races. Spartans VS Elites (VS Brutes) gametype FTW

  • 10.13.2009 7:39 AM PDT

make all of them the way they should be in CAMPAIGN, so elites would be tall, not hunched, and the brutes would be like in H2.

on multiplayer, weirdify them so they look good and play well.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Wow, that is the least researched statement ever.

Just so you guys know, Humans and Jackals are about 6', Spartans are around 7', ELITES are around 8'6", Brutes are around 8'9" and Hunters are a whopping 12'

You know, back in Halo 2, when ELITES were EASIER to kill than SPARTANS, i sure as -blam!- didn't -blam!-, and I won't when they are again.

Well, the HuD they should probably have, just because of the whole Eye Lens thing (Apparently Elites wear a Lens over their eyes, it makes their Eyes look yellow and gives them a HuD.)

Why exactly? They still can stand straight and often do in cutscenes. It's not like bigger is always better (if want to avoid getting shot for instance).

And some might notice how in Halo CE the Elites did hunch similar to the Halo 2/3 Elites when they were running.

I really don't care so long as they don't bulk Elites out again like they did in H3, they look WAY better in Halo CE and 2, tall and elegant.

a voted good idea only because i dont completly hate it, i think they should find a way to make the elites cooler looking but just not in that way because in halo three i hated being an elite cause to me they looked mentally retarded

Thats an interesting idea, when customizing your gametype you can already force player color, so there should be the option to force player race. This way the MLG, Swat, and Team Snipers gametypes could force everyone to be the same race so that no one can complain that the other team only won because they were playing as a different race.

  • 10.18.2009 2:12 PM PDT

ur saying you want to make the already impossible enemy to hit in SWAT (elite) even smaller? My solution is take them out.
