I've had problems with Vista. Halo PC ran like crap with decals enabled, but that problem's solved because it now crashes at startup.
ATi favoritism in the code tbh.

I was annoyed that Vista would not remember my folder view preferences (I like "list view" with hidden files shown), which got worse after the IE update, when clicking any file would open a new Explorer window.
Never seen that on my setup. Hell, all that's working better for me than XP ever did.

D3D10 cuts my frame rates down by 10-20 in the games that support it, with no obvious visual improvements (except the dust and smoke look better in Bioshock).
What's your video card? After shoving a HD4870 in my PC, I don't see any difference in FPS hit between DX9 and DX10. Can't really blame the OS for your card not handling DX10.

Because of the new driver model, I can no longer limit the frames pre-rendered by my CPU before they reach the GPU, which apparently introduces more input lag when I use vertical sync.
If you're getting input lag, vsync should be off anyway. No reason to have it on if your framerates are that low. If that's not the case, just turn triple-buffering off.
Either way, I haven't seen any input lag on my PC.

The EAX effects on my sound card no longer work without a hack that is usually innefective.
MS redid audio for OS stability. Fortunately, Creative's working on a solution. But it's still in beta. Give it a read.

I understand Vista works great for some people, but it's been nothing but problems for me.
Obviously.omg I just witnessed a problem solving GOD!.
