Another thing is that vehicles should have real health like in Halo1. I really hate how in Halo2,3,ODST my shield = vehicles health. It makes no sense. A Warthog should be able to take only that much damage.
But then the vehicles become worthless and nobody uses them.
This may be how it is already in Halo 3, but what if vehicles become easier to destroy as they are damage? Like, say I'm in a warthog, someone fires a rocket launcher and I get hit by the splash damage and I'm sent flying. I survive with only a tiny bit of shields left, but the next time I come around and get hit by that splash damage I die because the warthog's armor is no longer there to protect me from some of the damage.
It might explain why you need to stick ghosts twice to kill the driver unless you hit the ghost right near the cockpit. It would make sense, right?
Worthless? That's like saying the health system of Halo3 is better than the one in ODST or in Halo1, which I don't agree with at all. A vehicle can take more basic bullets than a body can. Vehicles should really be vehicles instead of just another weapon.
Ghosts and Banshees of Halo1 campaign are still the best vehicles because of their health. Everything affects everything.
I rather take the thing that is realistic and creates good gameplay than just the gameplay. Pretty much all the problems I see in Halo are because of Bungie choosing gameplay over everything. Dual wields do less damage than single weapons, they change voice actors, vehicles have insensible health and infinite ammo, they seem to focus more and more on easter eggs...
