Well, a weapon might be cool, but it would have to be just a gun that is differently colored than the original weapon. Like what GoW 2 did with the Lancer.

A character would be nice if it had no other abilities or disabilities than the other default characters.

Character would be easier to do.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Weapon skins, yes.

Character armor pieces, yes.

A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

No. Weapons would be stupid since in Halo, weapons define the tide of battle. If you have everyone start out with an inferior weapon like the AR and you have a team with people starting with a BR, the BR team will overpower the AR team. If you give the BR to people from the start, then what will be the point in choosing the other weapons if they already have the superior one?

This works in CoD since the weapons can kill you with 2 or 3 shots so the difference in them isnt really much other than magazine size, rate of fire and accuracy when fired from the hip.

This is not GoW nor it is CoD. Lets try to think about original ideas and lets stop thinking about in which way we can copy other games.

none. I don't like unlocking weapons or characters. I feel i should be the person behind the player for firefight and matchmaking, not be playing as someone else. I got near this sense playing as the rookie in ODST. If it's first person shooter, then why i'm i a different person? For the weapons, i believe all should be there are all times. The unlocking weapon thing is only good when you can carry multiple weapons. But in halo you can only carry 2, which makes for learning unique strategies for each.
