You say goodbye, and I say good riddance.

No, Halo is about grabbing the power weapon or vehicle, then owning everyone on the other team. Most competant players stick with the BRs they start with anyway.
Class based games are about spawning, then owning everyone on the other team. They just skip the idea of allowing the player to actually decide what weapons they want to use, and when. Most players stick with the br, because all of the other weapons are nerfed. It's really not hard to see how this problem could be eliminated in REACH if Bungie put some thought into it.

EVERY competative multiplayer game has a "moment to moment where do I go, why and I going there" type of thing going on, it's nothing new.
I never said it was new, just implied that I think Halo's way of doing it is better.

In the other hand with class based non "Halo-y" games, you don't worry about power weapons. You worry on the "moment to moment where do I go, why and I going there" aspect while actually requiring TEAMWORK to get s#$% done.
And it doesn't require teamwork to obtain/hold the myriad of power weapons scattered throughout the maps? Seriously dude, your grabbing for strings that arn't there.

It contrasts Halo's own or get owned with/by a BR.
halo 2 and 3 follow your br formula. However, CE required the player to use all of the weapons on a particular map. Please stop saying that everything Halo revolves around Halo 3.
