Since this is a prequel theres probably isn't gonna be brutes, or new covies unless they like became extinct or left the covenant between reach and H:CE, and as far as flood, most likely not, the humans didnt encounter them until CE, unless kept secret, or encountered and they all died and then cov glassed the planet because of the flood, who knows.

I like fighting the flood, but I would like it to be more varied.

Maybe a few more specialized flood forms, or a dynamic flood level. You begin the mission, only a few flood, infection spreads as you fight through the covenant. Go through quickly enough to find little-to-no flood, while taking your time allows the flood to spread.

This thinking is what killed the Flood in my opinion. Before it was just a bunch of the damn things coming at you. There were only three types, but the combat was way more akin to the name. Now it is basically a reskined room of covenant, but they spew green blood and can morph. They lost the quality that gave them the name FLOOD.

On a side note, there were no Flood at Reach. The Flood hadn't been found by the UNSC and the Covenant always had a shoot first ask questions later mentality with the Flood. So it would never make it to Reach.

I wouldn't like playing the flood just cause the timeline would be shot, i mean the flood doesn't appear in front of humans until halo1

Gods Must Be Strong

I wouldn't mind if they were or weren't in the game. I'll play it regardless. But I hope there aren't TOO many Flood levels. The Halo 2 Flood was the best. One shotgun or sword slash and they were dead, In Halo 3, a shotty might not do it, and often I'd slash a flood 4 times and it would still be alive.

Just make it fair, Bungie.

I'm a n00b.

It could work if it was inside of Reach and the flood never made it to the surface. Especially if it was an area of the battle not completely known about.

But the only new covenant that could happen would be the......

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

For Firefight.

I, personally, want some levels with them...

But that will never happend since the flood have not got that far yet

Everything from Halo 1 was...better

Flood can't be in Reach. The Flood were only on Forerunner facilities like the Halo's and the threshold gas mine.

The first time the Humans saw the flood was in 2531 (Halo Wars), while people keep saying that they first showed up in Halo 1.

I can't realy consider Halo Wars cannon for some reason... It just doesn't fit with the Halo timeline and as much as I want to have it sitting in my mind as part of the Halo universe it just keeps jostling out of place. It put way too many plot holes into the storyline.

I am just some guy who likes video games

EDIT: actually i just remembered that there is a forunner relic on the planet reach .. that is the reason y the covenant didnt completely glass reach

That was also the reason why the UNSC was so flabbergasted by them showing up. Most of the first encounters with the Covenant were really just wrong place, wrong time.

I'd die to become immortal,
That's why I play Halo Reach

They'll find a way. What's the bet they have the Spartans go into an old Forerunner structure deep underneath Reach, only to find it's infested with Flood?
Flood should not be in Halo: Reach.
