"They're definitely heroes," he said of Noble Six's unit. "This will be about honor and sacrifice. And you still kick a ton of ass, you still blow a lot of stuff up." -urk

I think it's best to keep these general.

* more/different weapons, possibly with different/secondary firing modes (e.g. full/semi-auto Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle with built-in grenade launcher).

* more/different vehicles, possibly land, sea, space, or air.

* better graphics (doubtlessly, they will be)

* more/different/stronger grenades

I have faith that Bungie will find, or has already found, the fun. They won't disappoint.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag

Flyable pelican

Flyable Pelicans (which could also crash, possibly wounding/killing the players riding inside) would RULE!

Cougar (Non MM), Cobra, Wolverine, Hawk (Non MM), Vampire, Spectre, and Shadow (Non MM).
Truly drivable and forgable AA Wraith (Non MM).
Truely Fogable Elephants on certain maps.
Forgable Shades, Mounted Missile Pods (Non MM), and Sniper Towers.
Forgable Troop Hog (You can get in all 5 seats)(Non MM).
Make Phantoms and Spirits into Scenerie for Forge(Have them float above about 30 feet).
Make Pelicans into scenerie for Forge (Make them docked on the ground, like the one on Rats Nest).
Make the Fox Cannon into scenerie.

I want a Planet Fall gametype. One team starts in orbit aboard a ship, the other team starts on the ground. The orbital team drops to the base via HEV pods and the base team can attempt to shoot down the orbital ship. If the base blows up before the ship is destroyed, the orbital team wins.

In the same vein, you could probably do ship-to-ship actions, two ships hammering at eachother point-blank while boarders fly across on boarding pods.

or, you could make the pelicans and spirits and phantoms useable in MM and campaign.

Campaign: yes

MM: no. Able to transport too many people at a time, makes it real unfair for the other team (same goes for the Troop Hog).

the elephant did this, hell you could even respawn in it as it was moving. the only difference with a pelican would be that it is destructible and holds less peeps

This could be balanced out by weapons. Why would you say this is "too many" to transport? I think a heavier transport vehicle would be awesome. Maybe limit the transportation to 5 players.

Not really. Using that tactic is a risk: you actually make it easier for the other team to make points. Pelicans and Troop Hogs don't, making it more of a one-sided deal. Not to mention that they travel a whole lot faster.

...and flies.
...and travels faster.

Pelicans are always crashing; I think they'd be quite suitable for multiplayer. Maybe a smaller version?

Allows whole teams to go into one location at once. If you think that is fair, send me your drugs, I need some.

Let's see, give it the same health of a Phantom, but take away the exposed engines...

Puff puff give!

Okay, in my mind, this is all taking place on Valhalla. Sending 5-10 players to the enemy base is kind of a thrilling idea to me. And sure, it could be "unfair" in the current multiplayer context, but what if the base had some kind of awesome defense and/or booby traps?

Red Team goes in.
They don't come out.

The Pilot is still alive. He picks up his team again, weaken the defences a little further, repeat 'till you get the objective.

Warthogs won't last as long, and they don't transport your entire team. You will get swarmed over and over and over again.

Not if everyone's defending properly. Heck, most of the time my team loses an objective is because some dark, brooding, internet junkie who probably writes lovely LiveJournal poetry goes off to snipe while the rest of my team gets killed. Point is, it wouldn't just be "Here's a Pelican". It would probably be "Here's a Pelican, and HERE's the anti-Pelican gun."

Then that means that one person would get a large multi-kill medal too easily. Let's just leave out the Pelican, ok?

I'm perfectly fine with the thought of Pelicans. They'd work out fine. I get Killtrocities because two Warthogs come around the corner on Rat's Nest. Does that mean the Warthogs should be taken out, or the tactic revised?

Here's the differences:
1. You took out two vehiclesn ot just one.
2. You would be taking out the entire team if the Pelican is in.
3. What if you run out of ammo for the "Anti-Pelican" Gun? (i.e. some idiot would use it on infantry that are alone) What then?

Anyways, after all of these games, you would think that Bungie would have thought of this beforehand, wouldn't you?
