Before I begin I just want to say that I don't think Halo should see a significant increase in unnecessary gore and such, but there are a few things I'd like to see in Reach.
I know other people have mentioned damage. I think that is pretty important. I love all the Halo's thus far but sometimes I just think it's a bit too clean. No damage on characters, minimal blood, etc. Seeing a few different stages of damage (predominately in campaign with marines and covenant) would be a great detail. It would help you to determine which of your marines is about to drop dead, which could influence any tactical decisions in regards to vehicles and weapons. But personally I think it would just add good depth to the visual aspect of the gameplay.
War is violent. I'm not asking for gratuitous or even very realistic effects, but something that will convey a bit more realism (Halo isn't about realism, I know). Gore isn't really something I'm clamoring for, because it just might end up being a bit too messy and looking too much like WaW. But to address those who say gore has no place in Halo, take a look at anything involving the flood. Always some major gore involved there.Honestly without any flood levels I see no reason why Halo 3 would not have been T.
So there you have it. I'm sorry if I'm being repetitive, but I'm not sure if this topic has been consolidated into one thread yet. Please post your opinions and ideas.
^Agreed knowing exactly how much damage my squad of marines has would be aan extremly useful and cool feature.
