Yes, yes it will. We need BR. How do we seperate the failures from the pro skilled players?
It was a very difficult choice, but I went with "no." But that doesn't mean I don't REALLY like pumpkin pie!
That being said, are you really telling me that the battle rifle in H3 is skillful? How hard is it to headshot someone when you have a three round burst that allows for you to aim at their chest or sweet the reticule in the general area of their head? How is it skill - as opposed to luck - when you have to rely on a random burst for the 4 shot, hoping none of them miss even though your reticule was centered on the head? How is it skill when the first one to fire should always win, because the rate of fire is limited by a timing mechanism as opposed to the speed and skill of the player? The H3 BR is garbage.
Carbines FTW
[EDIT] I do think the new Halo needs to add more variety to the mid-range and cull out some of the unnecessary close ranged weapons that have no diversification or purpose. We need a starting weapon that gives range, but not too much power, like they said the AR would do in H3 but didn't. I think the BR would be perfect if you'd take away the headshot capability and made it a little more powerful so it was a 5-7 shot. That would give you range and some kind of accuracy, but wouldn't overdo it. Replace the mid range weapon with an accurate carbine that has a smaller reticule, and you finally have some skill needed for the good kills, plus a good rival for a sniper.
