with the odst crap bungie pulled really let me down. 60$ for a campaign extra. c'mon.

Yup, its totally not your reponsibillity as a consumer to make sure that the product you buy is what you want. How could we make informed decisions about our purchases when evil bungie gave us absolutely zero information about what ODST would be like?

Quite tragic, really.

I just don't understand why everyone's saying how it's bungie's fault, I could just be ignorant but from everything I've read it seems like bungie wanted it to be an expansion but microsoft said it's a full game so full price. Doesn't really seem like bungie's fault they make 'em Microsoft prices 'em.

On topic I'll buy it no matter what, I feel like I've got my money's worth from everything that Bungie's made.

actualy if you people have read the books the Br might be in it... because its on reach the Br was discovered, as well as the h2 mag but that one stinks

Of course, plus multiplayer doesn't need to obey canon, but irrational people for some reason either think:
>Halo Reach was before Halo CE, so there will be no BR.
>Halo 3: ODST didn't have a BR, so following that trend Halo Reach won't have a BR either.

It doesn't really matter either way, the medium range weapon niche must be filled for the game to be balanced properly.

True. I would also like to add (not directed at you): The BR represents the extreme of how well a medium ranged weapon can be made. The thought train usually runs like this:
"There has to be a medium range weapon, so the BR has to stay!"
Which is wrong. There are other ways you can make a medium range weapon that doesn't dominate far beyond its niche.

these were some of the biggest complaints im just curious to see will any of these stop ppl from buying reach

Meh. I'm sure that the beta will cheer people up.

  • 10.15.2009 2:10 PM PDT

I think it's safe to assume that Reach will have matchmaking because people who bought Odst get a invitation to a MULTIPLAYER beta

  • 10.15.2009 2:10 PM PDT

Point 1.

Poll: wil any of these cause you Not to buy HALO: Reach
the br desnt return
no matchmaking still
no firefight
no playable odst's
pre oreders are given out by other companies

i will buy reach no matter what

Seriously, you have the worst grammar i've ever seen on a front page feature of a forum. Come back to forums once you've got an education, or if you're still in education LEARN FROM ENGLISH; as boring as it can be it helps you write a lot clearer so people can tell WTF you are saying.

Seriously, a capital letter mid sentence which isn't a noun, and various other basic errors.

Point 2.

It doesn't take a genious to realise that these "complaints" are for Halo 3:ODST but re-worded or great things which are in it which people would love to see.

At this point I have to say... IT WILL BE AN ENTIRELY NEW TITLE!

It's based around Spartans so no -blam!- to the ODST's.

Tt's an entirely new title, Of course there will be matchmaking.

Firefight will probably be in Reach seeing to how successful it is in ODST.

What difference does the pre-orders make as long as you get the game on time? They have to have it sent via "other" copanies anyway.

I highly doubt there BR will call quits on this seeing as Reach is another Spartan game and that it's so popular with the community.

"I'm like SuperMan! I know when I'm needed!"

Still No Matchmaking?
If you actually played Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST, there is matchmaking. But on Halo 3 ODST, the SECOND disk has matchmaking.
Get your facts straight please, and no BR, not much of a huge fan of it that much anyways.

  • 10.15.2009 2:55 PM PDT

I really don't see why the "matchmaking not there" option is present.
Considering we have an ONLINE BETA coming out in 2010. It is pretty obvious that they intend to have matchmaking in the game.

First off you missed my favorite thing abut halo 3 FORGE this is the feature that made halo 3 so successful because it allowed players to edit maps to dramatically increase their experience especially with sandbox & foundry which were made almost exclusively for this mode they are also instrumental in giving halo 3 its own identity from other top 1st person shooters like COD. why do you think halo 3 lasted so long on the charts certainly not for the campaign the answer is customization that's what makes a game successful along w/ playability lastly BR is awesome!!!!

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Most of the points stated don't even make sense. Why the hell would Reach have a 5 hr campaign? It's not an expansion. And it's been worked on for 2 years now.
