Subject: A simple (maybe?) way to speed up matchmaking

My current setup: Custom built 360/PS3 portable gaming unit with built in Logitech X-540 5.1 speakers, Tritton ax-360 audio processing unit, 24" Sceptre 1080p 2 ms monitor, 8 built in USB's and 2 Built in 4" case fans with green LED backlighting.

So we all know how halo 3 mm works, u find other players then you load a map, veto it, then load another map. Think of how much time you've sat in a pregame lobby waiting for a map to load, it's probably a ridiculous amount of time.
So how about reach works like this: You find the other players then a map is selected, u then veto that map and another is selected, and THEN the map that is selected is loaded. To me it seams like a very simple thing that could save alot of time but i'm not in the business of making video games so i can't say if its easy to implement or not.

Is it even possible? will it work out right? or has this been brought up before and i'm just a failure at the search option?

And then what happens if someone fails to load the map after you veto it?

Its been brought up many times before, it loads first before you veto to check to make sure everyone can play on the map. It wouldn't be fair if you didn't veto a map only to have it be replaced by another map because someone failed at loading that map. I would feel cheated for sure.

ok sorry for bringing it back up, and what you said happenes already in mm all the time. Many times the first map gets vetoed, i see the second map come up for jsut a split second and then another map appears to replace it. Yes i feel cheated but o well. and your response does not really answer my question, i know that if ppl fail to load a map it throws off the veto system. But if a map load does not take place until after the veto/not veto part happens then it will be the same as current mm, but it will go faster.

maybe i'm not making my point very clear.

(ignore grammar and spelling errors, in a hurry atm)
