I received Recon for being awesome. Like it matters anymore. Thanks ODST! :D

When playing ODST, I always feel like I'm playing Call of Duty 4 when the poitns are popping up for each kill I get. I think it works very well and would like to make a suggestion to the Dev team.

Instead of the current ranking system on Halo 3, why not make a similar ODST scoring system, but instead of points, that is your EXP. Also, keep the multikill system. I don;t like having a double and triple to compliment my overkill. I want just a plain and simple Overkill. And I also like the placement of the scoring on the screen. I think this should be incorperated into a level system for Reach and the Ranking system would work by levels, and how much EXP you need to gain a level, i.e. 500 EXP for your next level up, and you would get EXP based off of your kills, what weapon you used, more points if the person is higher level then you and so on.

This is just my opinion. Feel free to elaborate on it and add suggestions to it.

This doesn't really denote skill though, just time played. I would much rather keep the tru-skill system. Just tweak it a bit so you don't rank down from one bad game.

This is probably what is going to end up happening. Trueskill will still be used to match up games however, we just won't be given the number, just like in social.

Do you really need a number next to your name to prove how good you are though? I know generals who made Social Only accounts, and didn't bother ranking up the account. I think level progression has always worked better than the horrible "True-Skill".

In most cases the number does represent their estimated skill. Like it or not True-skill has worked exactly the way its supposed to work. You consistently do good, you rank up. You play bad and lose, you go down. With level progression people can just abuse the system to get to the next level. Abusing can happen by people just joining games and then setting the controller down to let the game go on. If your team wins you get exp anyway. Thats what happened in Halo 2, and thats why True-skill was made for Halo 3.

True skill is a better ranking system, what your suggesting is like the CoD games, I personally despise the ranking system in CoD games. They can't make the level progression long enough like in Halo 3 so they add "prestige" another dumb and pointless thing of restarting with a new picture.

HORRIBLE.

How is prestige pointless? It saves you from having to make a second account.
