I hate it when 60% of the posts are locked, major pain in the asse. I agree with great_pretender, ninjas should delete posts rather than lock. The underground is full of halo stuff and anti-normality posts.

Too bad we don't have old skool discussions going on like we should... We really do need a karma system or whatever to inspire older members to come out and share the light of the great Bungie games of the past.

I hear you! Last time i looked at The Underground, it was full to the brim of Halo 3 threads. Halo 3, an oldschool game?!

~ Oh and guys, let's not fight about which is the best forum. They're all great in their own way. (The Septagon rocks though) ;)

The HFCS forum is better than all other B.net forums combined. Oh, the good times we've had.

And you thought we just sat around and discussed boring administrative issues.

"You need at least 50 karma points to post in the Underground."

It would help.

* The ban on the word 'noob' only extends to the public forums, and is not particularly strongly enforced as it is.

No new word
Dang Yoozel, lol.

A spam filter though, could probably not save the forums like zanzibar, New Mombasa, and Optimatch. This is because even if the spam was stopped, it seems that people have given up posting anything worth reading. The few threads that are interesting have been almost soley confined to this forum.

The only reason this forum has been saved from the onslaught is that whenever the spammers (who are almost entirely made up of people complaining about halo 2), read "Improve the Seventh Column and take over the world" they must think "community?!?! I came here to complain!"

Even with the excellent work of the moderator staff that run the forums i think that the "halo 2" forums are beyond help.

Consider this a message in a bottle: in Zanzibar, a lot of the old regulars have fled to Groups. I'm not really an "old regular" (obviously), but it's the 7ru7h. Is this the case for the other forums as well? Are all the good folks hidden in bunkers waiting for the Forumpocalypse to blow over?

In some cases i know this to be true, but if all the decent people are hiding, who will there be to help keep the forums in order? (other than mods)

Luckily, there are still many decent people here in The Septagon who refuse to hide.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

First of all, it's tru7h, not 7ru7h. We don't replace that "t" with a "7" for no reason, it's from Marathon. Yes, that is true for the most part, and I understand why they would do it, the state of the forums can be quite depressing sometimes. I still wish they wouldn't...

I think, in all honesty, that older members who try to help make the forums better eventually get tired and give up, like me, I just kind of left for a long time. I know I made an honest effort (but not the best though for sure) to help improve the forums, but I just got tired of waiting for things to happen.
