That engine is amazing. Prob the best engine ive ever seen.

  • 10.15.2009 12:59 AM PDT

blarg, bow chicka wow wow, boomshakalaka,

the reason they dont, as good as that engine is, bungie likes to give halo a unique feel, not one that they rented to make the process easier.

  • 10.15.2009 12:59 AM PDT

thats true for halo but maybe there new I.P you never know

  • 10.15.2009 1:00 AM PDT

Knowing what I was doing was never quite fun.

Its awesome but I'd go for the awseome physics that create randomness and get people killed by flying objects over good graphics anyday

throwning snowballs at cars is like doing a bell ditch. The end result is basically the same: sprinting away from the large man exiting his car who yells profanities, hiding behind a house, and watching as his car patrols the street, waiting to murder you.

Asking the flood for dating advice is like you going up to a bunch of starving Africans and debating the pros and cons of the bacon roll vs the double cheeseburger.

Some one who stands for nothing shall fall for everything.

1. the guy above me is right
and 2. because thay have alredy been working on it since halo 3 was released so if thay changed engine they would lose a lot of progress

I guess it cant be for reach but maybe other halo games if bungie decides to do more or if 343 industries makes one. bungie does have a new I.P so hopefully they at least take a look at this engine before deciding what they are going to use.

The engine is cool but the only thing halo could get out of that wouldbe sweet graphics. Most of that stuff is useless. Andwho knows maybe bungie will have improved on the last engine and as for 343 using it itwould jack all the aspects of halo we know andlove

Hi! <3

I am not a fan of games using the same engine. The reason I like to play different games is because of how they're unique.

I don't want all my FPS games to be a re-skinned version of a predecessor.

Corn, Oil, and Wine... We need more wine...

That... That was... AMAZING!

Yeh thats pretty good. It goes well with the Crysis Series but Halo wouldn't be the same without the Halo Engine.

The engine looks amazing and all, but considering Bungie is already working on an engine for Halo already, i would put my trust in Bungies hands that they are the only people who can bring the feel of Halo into a game, no one else. I mean look at the improvements of Halo 2 to Halo 3, it amazing! Think how much better Halo Reach will be compared to Halo 3 its going to be mind dazzling :D

Look, a half monkey half pony monster!

they could be using it, nobody has heard about the current engine that they are using!

Is about time Halo shines with awesome and the best graphics. Maybe even use the sandbox editor to give us Full Map Editor in Halo Reach! Also we need more destructable enviroments such as Battlefield. And REAL SANDBOX gameplay not like ODLC. I mean huge open world in Reach with plenty of diverse and epic enviroments. Then we can truely ride the warthog across epic scenery.

What are the bad gameplay mechanics caused specifically by the CryEngine?

AuSam: 'lol, who the hell would even have sex with dogs?'

I think that the only letdown is the graphics as the one things we get is Bungie trying to get as much as they can out of one engine.
If they got a new or updated one it would be nice.

maybe bungie will improve on it or make a new one.

Didn't they say though that their building a AAA class engine?

Cry Moar Please.

...Heh heh, couldn't resist the contradictory pun thing. Sorry.

Personally I'd prefer that they focus on gameplay than learning to use some new toy that will maybe amaze me for 10 minutes.

Hell, I don't care.

Yep. The same reason the don't sell there engine out or let others use it, to keep that feeling unique.

Stubbs the Zombie was the only game to use a Halo engine but Wide Load was started by Bungies founder.
