Subject: AAA engine is misunderstood

Danny

The new engine will be focus on the game AI and not so much on the graphic itself, so people that are hoping for a better then halo 3 visual should not take this engine too seriously... sorry

EXTREME PREJUDICE

AAA is a blockbuster game, not a description of the game engine.

  • 10.15.2009 12:07 PM PDT

Screw the visuals. I don't care that my enemies look purdy, but that they can give me one hell of a challenge.

  • 10.15.2009 12:07 PM PDT

The graphics better be better then halo 3's. There is like 3 years between the games.

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.

The funny thing is, it's not called "The AAA Engine". It's a AAA engine that will be called something else when it is officially announced. Where did you get your info from anyway? You could have at least posted a link to the page you found this on so we don't think you're just making it up.

if you have any questions about halo i am one of the few people on this site who will gladly help you. Even though this account has been active for only a year, my past accounts go all the way back to 2002.

This is true, asian chino is ignorant. i dont think its likely bungie will name the engine, they have never done so in the past. it will probably be called the "reach engine" much like the current engine is called the "halo 3 engine"

  • 10.15.2009 12:24 PM PDT

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

Seriously, if I get smarter people and more of them, even Halo3 graphics aren't a bad thing at all.

100 enemies and allies who want to kill the enemy and live... God.

What? Bungie builds its own engines. Unless it's a collaboration between them and possibly M$GS, I seriously doubt your claim.

Warning: You may find that my, or someone else's opinion does not comply with yours. Side effects of disagreement may include (but are not limited to): flaming, irrational behavior, broken keyboards, and/or nervous sweats. If you experience any of these symptoms refrain from communicating with others until the symptoms have subsided.

Halo 3 uses the Havok physics engine.

AAA stands for accurate, adequate, and appropriate. It is simply an explanation of the quality of engine, in the sence that Reach will have a high quality engine. Reach will have upgraded AI and visuals, it will be awesome.

I'd rather have both.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

Great news i guess. People who value graphics over gameplay and fun factor are idiots.

Bungie hasn't said anything about their engine, so even if there was an article on it it wouldn't mean crap. the people who wrote it would have no truth to thier statements.

I don't care if the graphics are exactly the same as Halo 3's!

As long as there's heaps of new content.
