There was this strange feeling I had... like i had excepted that I would not make it through the next wave. That, after all the hell I had just gone through, all of the heroics that kept my team alive, all those hero medals, that awesome killionair, it was all coming to an end.
No video game has really given me that feelig before. As i said, it was profound, being faced with a situation that I could not succeed at.
So, in essesnce, A battle that I can not win would be my dream battle in a halo game.
My thoughts exactly.
But you will still fight for your life, and try to take out as many enemies as you can before finally falling.
It would definatly be an original spin on a Halo battle.
The prospect of charging into a battle you cannot possibly win, with the single minded goal of taking as many of the covie bastards with you, is just awesome.
I mean, think about it. All other halo battles are about turning the tide, and walking away feeling like a badass. We never really get a chance to expirience defeat at the hands of the covenant. Or at least, we have never really gotten a chance to see the consequence of losing, beyond the words "loading last checkpoint" popping up on screen.
If Reach has a darker tone to it, this could help that feeling resonate, and ulitmatly become a more impactful expirience.
It would be cool if you were "forced" into a battle, you had to run from a force behind you to a checkpoint that is by another force of covenant. And you have to hold the area aslong as you can for whatever reason, but after 10minutes of just pure killing you go into a cut scene where your character is knocked out and left for dead. Would be amazing to see something like that.
