It would be cool if you could aim down your sights. For the assault rifle you could add on flip up sights.

You mean like iron sights? Me thinks that would be fail.

The fact you used the "aim down the sights" phrase shows your a COD fanboy. Nothing wrong with that, but you have to realize: Halo and COD are NOT THE SAME

besides, the AR has no ironsights

Or you could use your crosshair because zooming in slightly isn't going to make things any more accurate.

  • 10.16.2009 8:51 PM PDT

get out of here stalker

Barely any guns have iron sights in Halo. The sights are only useful for games without a reticule, so you're not shooting from the hip.

well I do agree an aim mechanic would be Nice particular with AR- but Spartans have a targeting computer built in to there helmets; which i am pretty sure works better than iron sights

but a mechanic where you use the zoom button and the reticule becomes smaller and you get a slight optical zoom. would be awesome

I wish I was still legendary.

We don't need iron sights. Games like CoD and Battlefield do because their guns either have no reticule or a tiny one. In Halo, we have a decent-sized reticule and a dedicated zoom button.

1- CoD did not Invent Gun sights; or gun sights in video games for that matter

2- no the Ar dose not have sights but Spartans have targeting Computers

Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!

All marines and Spartans have weapon uplinks from their helmets which gives them a reticule, there is no point in having ironsights.

Of course, because iron sights are obviously exclusive to CoD. Never mind games like Rainbow Six Vegas, or Battlefield. Yes. If he wants Iron Sights in the game. He is OBVIUUSLY a CoD fanboy.

Perhaps you want to read over what you typed before you call other people fanboys.

Anywho, Iron Sights wouldn't work for Halo anyway - because you're always looking down the "sights".

it would be kinda cool to have like a cod/halo game like halo guns and characters but you get to"aim down your sights".

Mjolinar or whatever armor is synched up to your weapon and that's what gives you the reticule I think. Why do we need iron sights? This is supposed to 2552.

I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

this is HALO not COD /thread

true but what about something like RFG where you use the Aim button to make the reticule smaller, a slight optical zoom and the Gun more accurate.

i mean why do the targeting computer not work on the Spartans built in telescopic visor

EX: the AR which is almost as accurate as the BR when you fire in burst but the aim assist stops working at 40 feet, and the reticule is so big you have yo walk the tracers in to the target at longer ranges

Because part of the strategy is to switch weapons or grab different ones depending on the situation or how you want to play.

But i want to be able to use my MA5 accurately, I'm not saying i should be more effective than the BR, Carbine or Snipers at longer ranges. I'm saying i wish it functional at those ranges

I mean ever since the First halo Bungie emphasized using the AR in shot controlled burst

I see what you mean, but Bungie designed the guns that way so each would have their advantage. I don't think tightening the spread of the AR would do a whole lot. Just carry an AR and a mid/long range weapon.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

The Assault Rifle does have iron sights, read Contact Harvest.
I would rather PLAY HALO, where the AR IN HALO doesn't have iron sights!

Just because the book AR has iron sights does not mean that the game version should.
