honestly im tired of these boundarys in halo 3....its stupid if ur ganna make a map make the whole map and if u wanna make boundarys make an indoor map or cliffs or something other then a wall of nothing ugh ANNOYING

we deserve equal right in games...we shouldnt b PINNED up like animals...we need r freedom we need r own choices im tired of being given a set path and have to fallow it,..it remind me of hunting ...would u rather hunt and find ur own animal to kill or would u rather go to a place wer they set u in a booth and call te animals to u and u pick one off with ease...thats wat halo3 reminded me of...we r cadged up with active camo walls wers the fun in that?
i wanna explore i wanna kill and i want a challenge

SCREW having a group of enemy here and there this is WAR have them walk around like us make the enemy random ...ex. like oops a grunt lost his pack cuz he went and took a piss now hes walking around aimlessly trying to find them but wait ... BAM head shot(weeee *confetti flys*) and then the pack that wasnt to far ahead hears it so they go check it out as one calls in for back up ...the jackle sets up his sniping spot for back up fire as the brute finds another path so he cant flank u while the other grunts go straight to the dead one....and all this happening on a NO "active camo walled" map and they walk around searching for humans and not just sitting around.....

IF U AGREE GIVE ME A HELLZ YA

HELLZ YA!!!!

So you would like Bungie to program an entire planet? Actually, come to think of it, I might want to fly my banshee out into space, so might as well design a galaxy for a couple light years in every direction.

Seems a bit too much for a single multiplayer map, correct?

  • 10.16.2009 10:03 PM PDT

well i mean like ur ganna give us a map and then just make it so ur trapped ...? a lil boundary is good but come on make it interesting not just a section of a map....and y not a whole world? to much i know but still

Posting on bungie.net should require that the user has had to have read a chapter book all the way through.

There needs to be a limit.

But I hate how it's SO restrained.

There needs to be more open.

Boundaries are needed, but they should be so far away you don't want to go there.

Like the sea of The Silent Cartographer. It's fun to see how far you can go once, but after that you forget it. Compared to that the sea of The Covenant is pathetic.

The way Halo3 maps have "natural boundaries" like turrets and mines, but you can still go past them to find the invisible wall is horrible. As is the way you can fly too high or out of level boundaries and die without warning.

The original BADFINGER! (the second)

What annoys me more about boundaries is the vertical boundaries.

For example why put a cat walk in 'The Pit' if you cant get to it?? wouldnt it be much cooler if you could actually walk along there in Team Snipers?

This is what annoys me as well.. find a spot that just screams "hey, that would make a nice sniping spot to surprise my buddies.. all I need is a grav lift or two" and then go into Forge and find out the invisible ceiling or wall prevents you from going there.

If we can't go to say a ledge in a map, then either have it fenced/blocked off visibly or don't put the damn ledge in there to start!

I agree no invisible barriers, if I can go there put a wall there or something.

And Isolation was better if the Sentinels would shoot you when you go too high. Now I hate when I fly a Banshee and suddenly die. Construct could also have hostile Sentinels if you go too far.

More slowly, but surely killing areas. You can avoid the Sandtrap minefields completely which isn't good either.

I hate the absurdly low invisible ceiling on maps like Foundry and Assembly.

They shouldn't restrict us too much.

that would work as well like sand box u go out to far u get a warning then BAM ...also like on some new maps u go out to far and the flood kills u lol or like u said the sentinels kill u if u go to high...honestly if they wer more creative bout it id enjoyit BUT NNOOOO!!! they just go BLAM active camo wall to the face...and yes thats wat we should call them "active camo wals" lol

And they're not even. Atleast on The Pit some parts of the ceiling are lower than the others.

But that happens even in campaign. On Sierra I jump on normal rock and when I jump I hit the invisible ceiling

Boundaries are horrible every way. The deadly traps, the invisible floors and walls, the death ceilings and walls. It's not even consistent because some walls stop me and others kill.

yea honestly its like a dome shape but still grrr

  • 10.17.2009 11:44 AM PDT

odst shields would work in a city but out in the woods and stuff no...how bout diff paths u can take? like halo 1 ur on that island u can go either way? y not do something like that and no height boundary it would b more enjoyable

  • 10.17.2009 12:06 PM PDT

the problem with games now a days is the fact they worry to much on graphics that games cant handle all the ai and -blam!- thats y halo keeps getting shorter and shorter....its annoying...graphics r great and all but they need to put more in to game play
it seems like its 70% graphics 30% game play for most games now adays

honestly i want a game that needs at least a weeks time of game play needed unlike tese games that only need like 24 hours of accumulated time to beat it

So like Valve who makes Left 4 Dead, Graphics are ok, but the environments are not too compact.

I think that in like Campaign or something when you go out of bounds, there should be some voice over the radio that goes;

"Spartan! You're leaving UNSC controlled territory! The Covenant will shoot you down!" and then a Seraph Fighter or Banshee will do a runby and own you after about 5 seconds.

They could also add shields like the ODST street shields.

There needs to be certain boundries but some of the ones Bungie has in place for Halo3 and ODST are just too frustrating, especially when all you want to do is climb a little higher onto piece of land that isn't any where need the level's outer parts

Invisible height restriction tends to be the most annoying in the most stupid of places as well

  • 10.17.2009 1:52 PM PDT

yes some boundary is needed but not these stupid "active camo walls" like them shields in odst that works or like isolation that works...even cliffs work but wen u put in "active camo walls" it kills a game ANY game not just halo...we rnt animals we need to b free
