I'm just a guy like you that plays halo.

I feel the ODST AI was freaking brilliant compared to the other games :/
Yes the enemy AI was improved (not perfected still flaws) whilst the retarded friendly AI remained the same -_-

enemies just need to be made to better keep the pressure on and friendly AI needs to not exist very much. I don't remember having allies nearly as much in Halo 1 or 2. When friendly AI is there, they should know their role as being cannon fodder or vehicle partners.

And never EVER should they even consider making another horrible abomination that is an escort mission.

Good points. I bear a particular dislike for the Brutes of Halo 3 and ODST, so I definitely agree with your statements concerning them. I miss the close-range rampage mode from Brutes in Halo 2 that literally made me drop a deuce. In Halo 3 and ODST they were dressed in flamboyant, colorful, and wholly unnecessary armor that made them look much less threatening to me. In addition, they became much too common. I understand this may have been an inevitability, but I think that fighting Brutes simply became very boring rather quickly. I've always said that Halo 2 hit the nail on the head when it came to enemy balance, and I would be ecstatic if they were to migrate back to that status.

And don't get me started on marines. I was especially disappointed with them in ODST. Their only two purposes it seems were to A) die, and B) die again. Seriously, I can't recall a moment, even on EASY difficulty, where they managed to survive more than a minute or two of combat. Sometimes less. I miss the marines of Halo CE and even Halo 2. For example, on Truth and Reconciliation, you started with a group of marines, but slowly you would lose some of them in combat. But it was always possible to keep at least a couple of them alive until the end. They were much tougher and more effective, even though they tended to shoot each other more frequently.

i agree with the whole brutes thing cuz i loved how they were a challenge in halo 2 but i also liked how they looked in halo 3. if they could keep them looking like in halo 3 but make them hard to kill like in halo 2 that would be awesome.

Assuming they are using Brutes in Reach, then I agree.

Also, note, the marine had better acuracy only because you sucked with the sniper.-@ whoever commented about the super acurate Halo:CE marines.

Also, for those who would like to know how I feel about the brutes- Brutes

agreed, even grunts look smarter than marines sometimes in H3

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

The AI has advanced every game; is there any reason you didn't think it would be so for this one?

The thing I hate the most about the previous AI is that all Marine teammates are terrible warthog drivers. Just horrendous. In Halo 3 and ODST especially, at times in campaign I would've rather had an 80 year old asian woman with alzheimer's drive me. I mean just habitual running into objects, not being able to drive around obstructions, driving straight at multiple enemy vehicles, driving off cliffs. I mean somehow, any time UNSC Marine AI gets in a warthog they suddenly turn into a semi-retarded suicidal maniac. I never get in the gunner in campaign because of it. This must be changed.

There was this one time on Uplift Reserve on ODST when the AI warthog driver literally took 10 full minutes trying to drive around an obstruction that wasn't even taking up half of the roadway. I just sat there and laughed my ass off as sat in the gunner as this retard kept backing up and driving straight into the obstructing object time after time after time when he could've easily turned the wheel and driven around it. I finally got fed up and got out but it was the dumbest -blam!- ever.

I'm so mad I didn't think to save the film. Would've been an instant youtube classic.
