1 - lock button.
whether it is "lock object in place" (instead of save map, end game, restart), lock map (no modifications allowed) or even freeze object falling.

2 - second confirmation when ending the game.
it has happened to me many times, when I wanted to interlock objects, I accidentally went to fast and ended the game instead of ending the round.
is it hard to have the game ask "are you sure you wish to quit without saving?" a second time ONLY when ending the game, please?

3 - more options.
nobody cares about balance. let me add scorpions on guardian, let me put carbines on sandtrap, etc.

4 - less restriction.
we NEED a budget. but why can't I put more than 2 scorpions on sandtrap when I can put like 18 mongooses? it's stupid. if I want to create an unbalanced map, I should be able to.
who didn't think about "omg imma make a JEWSOME santrap map!!111 with tons of scropons and haev it b liek the single playor missiun!" but found themselve unable to? :/ everybody, I guess.
also, all weapons available on all maps. plasma rifles and carbines on sandtrap are examples. all scenery on all maps. etc.

5 - "Delete all" button.
self explanatory.

these are all easy things to code, do and modify. there is NO excuse not to have it done for Reach.

Double confirmation for the delete all button.

Shades, Mounted Missilepods, and Covenant Sniper Towers.

Don't -blam!- with Kerser!

there all good ideas.

like when i get a good idea like u say when u want like heeps of tanks so u can have a full on tank battle or something or like u want more money because when u have a good idea for a map like if u want to build a huge wall around sandbox and then a big heep of stuff in the middle. its like ur building a good map with wicked stuff on it and your nealy finished but then u have to delete things cause u got no more money.

every weapon on every map thats good to

and way more scenery like sandbox and cars that u cant drive

make that u can have all the scenery from every other level in any level.

I get your point

or like when you need to use ONLY double blocks on sandbox to make a huge wall, and end up using tunnels, walls and other things because you can only put 20 double blocks... :/

1. Ultimate weather effects(raining, snowing, night&day, etc)
2. The lock feature to make your maps editable as well as the lock option for items being Forged, so they snap better in place.
3. A even better version of Sandbox. Or perhaps make the ultimate Forge map the only one and have a crap load of stuff that can be put in it.
4. All vehicles, weapons etc to be in the Forge menu(this includes all drive able Campaign vehicles as well as all use able weapons.
5. Addable and removable INVISIBLE death barriers. (kill ball is a concept to it, but not nearly as awesome as invisible death barriers.

well the Forge game ends if you start over a round over 100 times ( i think ). so i dont think that you was to fast and accidently pressed end game, but instead you just pressed the "Start a new round" option to much.

  • 10.17.2009 12:52 PM PDT

yea id rather have a set budget (budget = map capability) with OUT a restraint on how many items can b placed
also its a good idea to have ghost item so u can mix items easily

also itll b a good idea for wen u place an object IT STAYS wer u put t and NOT fall to the ground (ex. walls)

u should be able to pick up elephants

u should be able to change the time of the day from morning to night.

more of those colour effects like inverting colours or blury.

make it slo motion so when u throw a grenade it blows up really slow and the bullets will go slow and it will sound hell good.

I have the bad habbit of using the trigger to navigate the menu... so I pressed the trigger, then forgot to go up to "start new round" and just pressed A and ended the game by accident.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

A "Visor" mode, where moveable/placeable objects are outlined, like in ODST.

Objects would be outlined in green, weapons, vehicles, equipment, grenades in Blue, spawns, spawn boxes in red, objective markers in purple.

Liking that idea.

You say goodbye, and I say good riddance.

Well, I for one would like to have all of the objects from the built in maps be availiable. That's including structures. Like bases, interactive fences, or the rotating windmill thing on Last resort.

Could make for much more interesting maps.

I simply want two (technically three, if you consider that last one a feature) features in an improved Forge if that is all we get.

1.
A 'lock' button. I'm not quite sure if this was the first mentioned feature in the OP, but I want a way to lock objects like how you can lock layers in Photoshop or Illustrator. I hate accidentally deleting things, after I take hours to place them.

2.
A way to change the X, Y, Z, Roll, Pitch, Yaw, Height, Width, and Length of an object by an in-game keypad instead of dragging, dropping and geomerging objects to where you want them to be. Also, this feature would require a list of all objects placed on the map so in case you accidentally place an object in an unreachable area, you can retrieve it or delete it.

3.
A global object library. Instead of making multiple 'forging' maps, give us a blank template and every so many months, update the game with more objects to use.

This, of course, is less preferred than a map editor but I doubt that we will get one.

"What's up baby, how are you doin'? I hate the sound of my own voice and I been invited here to distract my self from the fact that I wrote all of this garbage."

Since it's Forge and I think we have a right to create ridiculously overpowered things for the amusement of ourselves and our friends, I think we should be able to merge objects onto vehicles, or at least have objects stay there without falling off.

Like a Mongoose with a Scorpion on top.

I want modifiable terrain. I would like to make hills and valleys. Not place a bunch of blocks together in hopes I can get close. Also selectable item skins. Instead of sandy blocks being your only choice in block looks, what about concrete or metal? Older games had more options.....

  • 10.17.2009 2:56 PM PDT

1.a aromatic save(like every 2 minuets it saves) (make it editable like turn it off and set times)

2.civilian cars and vehicles (like the odst cars and warthhogs with out guns

3.sports and every day stuff objects on a forge friendly map (like foot balls for a weapon that you throw are a goal post and stuff like that)(and stop liights and sings and stuff)

4.unlimatid amount of objects

5.animals and anamated objects(like a dog on the map or a wrilpool on a water map and stuff like)

This. I hate trying to center a rocket launcher only to have people complain one person gets to the rocket launcher slightly quicker, or that the respawn points aren't perfectly symmetrical. We should also get a wireframe measurement between adjacent objects, spawn points and objectives to make sure everything is exact. Or perhaps a good measurment of the objects in a diagonal angle so we can make sure ramps and platforms are set properly.

Also, Forza Motorsport 3 painting system, but better. That way we can paint Spongebob on our boxes. They should exclude colors from the color palette for armor though. We should also get some sort of light system so we can set up dramatic lighting in certain areas.

The custom game limit also needs to go.

Behind you all the way on that. One more addition: an undo button.
