is it possible that the big guy in the picture is one of the early MJOELNER armors? in halo: fall of reach, MC and his team went against them and apparantly the armours were very bulky and used large amounts of energy

The older Armors were impractical for battle due to the large amount of energy they needed.

If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

Its plausible.

that's true, but if this is on reach you might play as the spartans in training against the gaurds in armour

if you have any questions about halo i am one of the few people on this site who will gladly help you. Even though this account has been active for only a year, my past accounts go all the way back to 2002.

Um... I like Halo? I don't really know what to say. I'm a student at the moment, I hope to become a criminal profiler, and I enjoy pretty much everything as long as it's good.

It's probably MJOLNIR MK. IV armor. The kind you see in Halo Wars. That armor is rather bulky and so it's likely that the SPARTAN in the banner just has an older model of the MJOLNIR armor. This further stregthens the theory tha the SPARTAN to the far left of the banner is in fact Sam-034, seeing as how he died in his MJOLNIR MK. IV armor.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I thought it was because they looked like this.

Halo Wars was 20 years before Reach and CE.
They'll probably have Mark V.

The Spartans got MK V a day before the Battle of Reach. If we play any time before the Battle of Reach we will have MK IV.

Didn't all Spartans have Mark V armor by the time the fight for Reach came around?

Actually yes. MK I to III were large armor suits that need large amounts of power to operate.

Which would disprove the theory if the game takes place during the fight for Reach, right?

Air force definition of explosives: A loud noise followed by the sudden going away of what was once there a second ago.

It's Sam I think.
