I'm sure everyone thats a regular in the Maw forums(I am, but this account is new because my other one got erased) has noticed a lot of stupid people posting stupid things. And I'm not talking people asking for help about their PC, I meen things like Halo 2 PC or random things that happened to people. I'm not trying to point any fingers or get people angry, but it's gotta stop.

Come on people! If your post doesn't say anything important to people or it isn't about help of some sort than don't post it. If its about some random, pointless thing that doesn't matter and your just trying to get attention, you'll just get flamed and start a flame-war!

I'm happy to see that the Bungie Site Staff are locking or deleting bad posts. They made a sticky about no more crap about Halo 2 PC. So don't post more crap about it!

I'm just trying to make Halo PC forums more enjoyable, so don't flame me or anyone else, but just post your opinions here.

HERE, HERE! You've finally put my feelings into words. Theres too many Halo PC topics and other bad posts that its driving me crazy. Another thing that bugs me is when people start bumping their own posts so that its allways at the top. If you want to say something else in your post that you forgot to type, there is an "Edit Post" button for that exact reason!

Really the big problem in this forum is people constantly making an account to post some meaningless technical help question regarding either Halo PC or their comp. I say that if you have a question PM a regular on these forums to find out the answer to any Halo PC related questions, and some of us can help you with more complicated PC help questions. Don't clutter up the front page with your increasingly annoying questions.

From the looks of things, it sounds like everyone would prefer that people just don't ask questions about Halo PC at all unless it's sufficiently "complicated" for their tastes.

If that's the case..

WHAT IS THIS FORUM FOR?

It's not like Microsoft is going to help anyone. People have to go somewhere for help.

At least you don't see tons of posts saying "Wow, it's dead in here, I wish we had something to talk about".

I agree that Halo 2 for the PC is going to be an annoying question, especially with the recently posted sticky, but criticizing people simply because they asked a technical question?

Should I have my thread about my profile being screwy deleted? Is it a "stupid" question? Where else can I find an answer to it? Show me and I'll be properly grateful and mildly abashed over the whole thing, but it's not something you can just type into Google and find an answer.

Depends. Us Maw Regulars (jman and I) are sick and tired of reading technical problems, and are sick and tired of hearing whining. If you created a thread about a screwy profile, IT SHOULD VERY WELL HAVE BEEN DELETED, cause its spam. What point are you trying to make???

And you know, at this point, Id much rather have a dead forum than one flooded with spam and flames.

Perhaps I should reiterate. Maw-regulars despise technical problems that have been asked OVER and OVER again. Especially ones that have a sticky dedicated to them at the top of the forum.

i know the perfect solution to the repetitive technical problem posts:

SEARCH FEATURE

people can search the forums and see if there's already been a post about the problem.

the solution to the stupid posts:

<----------The Flood<----------That Way!

that's what it's made for, right?

Funny thing is, I have seen a post that was about that. >.<
Make a seperate forum for technical questions. Not just PC, but Xbox too. So everybody who says: "I'm having trouble hosting my own game!" "I have this error, why? WHAT DO I DO??? GOD HELP ME!!!" can get their precious help by some moderators or helpful people who have technical skillz.
And if you're new and instantly you have a really obvious idea like "Oh my god, IS THERE GONNA BE A HALO 3?!?", please assume it's been asked and browse through the stickies before you make a huge fool of yourself.

A less extreme answer than making a new forum is just a sticky for technicals, and then if you have a prob, look through it to see if it's already been reported and solved before you post it.

Oh, and to defend people who make a new reply rather than editing the old one, I'll do it if I'm rattling on forever like I'm doing right now just to break up my discussion.
One last thing, people shouldn't post for the sake of posting. If they have a legit question that you want or, more preferred, need answered then post. But if you just want to start a discussion about the meaning of some obscure marking on a random crate ingame then please, leave it for yourself to ponder at night. It's more healthy for you. ;)
Plus, if you figure something out, you get all the credit.
