Ok this a fairly simple idea for every game you play (or every few games you play) you armour gets a small scratch or dent, and as you play more games these build up to make your armour look more battle worn.

You could also have a system where you do not get the scratch if you win the game but do if you loose the game just to add a bit of competition to the idea what do you think?

There could all so be an option to turn this on/off so if people want shiney armor they can still have it.

"I swear, I didn't shoot you! That bullet was in your head before I pulled the trigger..."
"Ordinarily I would tell you to stand back if you don't want to be injured. But in this case, I'll make an exception. I'm going to beat down every last one of you!" -Kenshin Himura

I don't want random bullet holes in my head from my games of Team Snipers O_o.

Interesting idea, but no thanks.

The dammage would not be spesific to the game you played the scratches / dents would be designed to make the armor look used not compleatley destroyed, like how johns armor looks in halo 3.

There could be small cracks but not enough to see a face through the visor, these cracks would not apear on the players screen or block the view in anyway.

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.

I'm with your idea but only if we get the option to turn it on or off.

yeah i think this could work, i played batman AA and noticed his cape starts ripping up. At the end of the game my cape was thrashed. i guess being shot with a plasma gun would love burns or some kind of mark ?

I'd love a wear-and-tear function.

I also think it is a very realistic idea and think it should be done. But will this actually happen? Can we suggest this to bungie?

  • 10.21.2009 6:20 AM PDT

Sounds like a really neat optional idea. I'm all for it =)

That would the most awesome thing ever, but it should be customisabe(SP) with armor perms, not based on games played.

Vancouver BC, Canada.

I voted yes, but it would take some work to get right.
