Before you want to post "there will be no Brutes in reach" read this

i would like to see the halo 2 brutes in halo reach.

1- Rage; when a brute rages in halo 3 it's very dull. he ducks, puts his gun away, spreads his arms, and runs at you. It looks like a poorly built fork lift trying to run you over. even in ODST it was not very intimating.
Halo 2 in comparison a brute would run at you like a gorilla pin you ageist a wall and punch out ALL YOUR BLOOD, he was heaver than you so, wold run through you. even on easy mod it was a very bad idea to melee a raging brute

2- the armor; I like the brutes look in Halo 3. a lot of good artwork went in to the them. But i could not stand the armor flies off when enough damage has been done. why could Bungie not given them energy shields like the elites or chieftains

as far as chronological order goes, brutes were in contact harvest, and halo wars they were not in Halo CE because they were not invented yet

The canonical reason for the Brutes not being in the original Halo is that the Elites were the main fighting force of the Covenant up until Halo 2. The only reason brutes were in Contact Harvest was because the Brutes were the first to discover a human world (along with grunts and jackals). The brutes were barely in Halo Wars (I only remember them being in one level, and even then you only fight a few of them). Brutes may be in Reach, but I doubt they will be fightable enemies.

As for your ideas, I agree that the beserking Brutes in Halo 3 and ODST were far easier to take down than the Halo 2 Brutes, but I think that they fill the void left by Elites better that way.

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

Of course. In Halo2 Elites and Brutes complete each other. In Halo3 Brutes are trying to take Elites' place.

Halo2 Brutes were Brutes. Brutal, aggressive, primitive. In Halo3 they're just slow, predictable and passive.

Brutes should be in a siderole, like Hunters and Jackals. They only do certain tasks while Elites are the main force.

exactly...I think we need the chieftains and that's it. there's nothing more scary than a chieftain with a hammer and invisibility that will out run you, and kill ya with one fatal swing<--run on sentence?
