Would you like Halo as an MMO shooter and if so how would it work. The game type can be any existing one or your own ideas.

I would personally like for it to first of all be an FPS. The game would start with different clans in space ships. They could travel through space to other planets and when they got their they could choose a map in the planet they would like to fight for. Your mission would be to carry a flag into the map's base and wait their 30 seconds in order to gain control of the area. Once you gained control you obtain special grants for as long as you maintain the base. For example if you control a factory you get to have 6 drivable pelicans. There would also be bots such as the flood depending on the map you are in. While traveling through space you can board other ships and destroy them to obtain upgrades to your ship. The main objective would be to control 1 world(10 maps). I don't know if someone already came up with this idea so don't tell me I'm copying somebodies work

Worst idea ever...http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8664824

Generally when making a thread you're supposed to input your own ideas in the original post.
No, I wouldn't like that. It wouldn't work with Halo's gameplay style.

Awesome isn’t just a word. Awesome is a way of life. Awesome is a way of war. Teamwork matters the most. Lone Wolves jeopardize the missions. Teamwork is key. Resistance is futile. The covenant fear us, not the other way around. We don’t fight for Earth. We don’t fight for Reach. We fight for the good of mankind because we are A.W.E.S.O.M.E. There was going to be one but it got cancelled, seriously I'll even post up the concept art they had for some of the species in that game:

Psion
The Psion is a Human-type species, rumored to have "special powers". It was known to be featured in the canceled Untitled Halo MMO.[1]

Rogue
The Rogues is a Humanoid species, and was known to be featured in the canceled Untitled Halo MMO [1].

Sentients
The Sentients appeared to have been a new species for the Untitled Halo MMO. They appeared to have been a mechanical species with reverse jointed limbs and visors for faces. [1]

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

MMO shooters have a high curve and can be very very boring.

The biggest problem with make Halo an MMO is the balance issue between UNSC classes and Covenant races. You would have to apply two entirely different MMO practices to each side and balance that accordingly. Me and a few friends have tried to map this out in our heads with several hours, perhaps even days of discussions and we still haven't pinned down exactly how to do it.

Normal FPS sounds fine, maybe in a future bungie game.

I like the idea of a FPS MMO, but not with Halo, it wouldn't fit in.

J23: Ready 4 Anything
We must move forward. Learn, Improve, Evolve

I don't see that working. Don't forget about the lag factor, need of a dedicated server to keep it running, designing a large free roam area so it doesn't become boring and repetitive, it would be hard to connect it to the storyline and if your a main character who are the other players, their won't be an unlimited amount of characters and if there was it would take a while to develop their background. I just don't see it working well
