Subject: The BR doesn't need to be removed

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

so you are saying that bungie should bring back a weapon that like everone hates besides mlg players and a weapon tha the bungie team itself hates i dont think so BR is history
So one Bungie employee disliking the BR means that everyone at Bungie msut hate it and it's all of a sudden history? I don't see the logic in that.

ok the br is a nooB weapon was not made in haloCE people at bungie hate it that is why it is not in odst so face it no more BR end of the line for the BR was way back in halo 3
The majority of the weapons in Halo 2 and Halo 3 were not in Halo 1 either. Your agrument is invalid.

My point is, for the betterment of this game, Dual Weilding should not be in this game.

And if it could be balanced so that individual weapons are strong but the dual wielding combos are equally strong in a different fashion?

The only people I have seen that dual wield are guests.

The guy at Bungie who said he didn't like the BR didn't even give a reason as to why he didn't like it. It was just "I dun like it, so it's not in the gamelol" and that was the end of it.

I don't understand why the pro-Dual Wielding people are so smug about that comment either, because he said the same thing about dual wielding in the last ODST ViDoc "I don't like dual wielding... so I cut it!"

1: You are in different parts of the city in ODST than you were in Halo 2.

2: The Slipspace Jump killed off most the Covenant troops in the city, the very few left standing were wiped out by the immediately landing Brutes.

3: Vergil can't speak english. All he did was agree to help, WHAT he knows, and what he could communicate are two very different things.
1- The Battle Rifle is a standard-issue weapon. Why give Marines in different parts of the city a different gun? And BRs were in that part of the city - look at the police officer at the end of NMPD HQ.

2- It killed off most of the Covenant Troops in the city... with energy shields, while Marines survived. Right... okay then.

3- Virgil still has some kind of connection to the Covenant battlenet - and ONI obviously know something about Engineers and probably could have worked out some translation of some sort. Besides, Virgil wasn't even referenced in Halo 3.

1.when you evacuate a part of a city you take all the weapons you know about with you

2.it killed marine to it killed all most every thing. and any one that was left was easy picking for the brutes

3. of coures he wasnt referenced to in halo 3, does O.N.I not mean anything to you

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

I want both, but if I'd had to choose, I'd want dualwielding more. BR is only 1 weapon while dual wielding is a big one.

Of course the dual wield weapons are nerfed, which is a bad word because in reality some weapons are weaker than others. It was really interesting in Halo2 how 1 Needler was pathetic and 2 was amazing. It just contributed to "Should I take a RL with 2 rockets or a full PR?"-decisionmaking in Halo1.

Halo3 Needler is very boring. ODST makes things more 1 dimensional, which isn't good.

BR should just be rarer and tweaked, that's how Rockets and Snipers are balanced. Dual Wielding should be rebuilt (less accuracy, weaker melee... instead of nerfing the combined power)

Balance can never be perfect so I rather take the "fun" aspect.

1- I agree the BR should stay, but it should also be funner to use and have a different role. it sounds like an air soft gun in Halo 3. and i would also like it to be Semi auto. so its not another assault rifle. the definition of a battle rifle is a gas operated riffle that fire a full sized rifle rounds like the 30-06, ot the 7.62x51 which ironically the AR shoots

2- i agree whit you about Duels. i have realized even in campaign game play runs smoother, and all the weapons have a point

3- I think the AR should be the mid range jack o all trads weapon. make like the AR in RFG where you have a slight zoom, becomes more accurate, and gets a smaller reticule. also make sound like the MA5B. i miss that wonderful noise

What he said.

ODST also proved that the game could run without a BR...
