Okay, Halo had my profile stuck on Heroic/The Maw for a while. I decided to change it, but I didn't know how, so I figured I'd rename it in-game and then make a new one and try to copy my checkpoints and so on over. Well, after typing my new name, Halo borked on me. Froze up, alt-tab/ctrl-alt-del/windows button, none of it worked. Had to shut off my computer.
And of course, doing so meant that it didn't finish whatever it was doing.
So now I have a profile with the *wrong* name. I try to change it back, it insists there's already a profile with that name.
Having gone through everything I can think of, I came upon the obvious solution: rename the files with my "old" name to the "new" one. <insert "Hmm, that's a good idea!" joke here>
Bing! Works. Still started to hang up, though, I had to leave it for a good five minutes before it stopped looping the same two seconds of audio and saved it. <insert "I am a genius. Hehehehe." joke here>
AAANYWAY (I'm not rambling at all, am I?)
Now I'm very pleased with myself to be back to the original problem: My profile keeps saying I'm on Heroic, in the Maw, when I'm on Legendary, in the Library.
....
Why? How do I make it update to where I actually am? If I make a new profile, it says Normal/The POA, so I know it's not that I have to finish the whole game or anything.
This isn't crucial, but it is annoying.
