Well not sure if anyone has discussed this but if anyone can recall back to Halo CE the sword and fuel rod had failsafe switches which would disable/destroy them upon the death of their wielder. Personally I have always hated the fact the sword was usable (it destroyed the panic and fear the weapon induced when you saw it in the hands of a Zealot). What about you guys? Do you want to be able to use those weapons or have them deactivate for cannon's sake?

This isn't Halo PC, and in the campaign you could not.

Non Nobis Nascimur - We are not born for ourselves.

Now that you mention it, it seems kinda stupid of the Covenant to disable the fail-safes for their weapons.

I loved how the Fuel Rod and Sword would just deactivate after killing the enemy using them back in CE. I was never that interested in either weapons anyway.

I wouldn't mind them being cut.
