The Problem
Hey everybody, now every time a new piece of DLC gets released by Bungie, or any company actually, there is usually two types of people. Firstly, those who believe that new DLC (say maps) should be put into the playlist, thus effectively denying access to those without the maps. The common answer coming from this group of people is "hell i payed for them, so i want to play them", this is course legitimate point of view.
The second group of people are the one who simply believe this is not fair, again imagine playing your favorite playlist only for it to be locked out the next day because you dont have or at the moment it time cannot afford the maps, again this can be construed as being a legitimate viewpoint.

*Please be aware that i am not discussing the validity or various veiws of the two point above*

The fix?
What i propose is that Bungie could implement a system similar to their quick search and good connection system. Therefore if someone bought say (for example) mythic 2 and wanted to play on the playist that has it, they would merely go to options and pick prefer mythic 2. Of course bungie could make it so the matches available were 100 percent certain to contain a mythic map.
This system would continue to allow those who have not bought the maps to still enjoy the playlist and those who did to play on the DLC they paid for, this would ensure a smother, less fragmented experience.

The Fix 2
Another idea, is perhaps implement a gears of war 2 selection system. therefore once DLC come out, the option would be to either select a preselected previous map or one of the new one. Whereas, people without the DLC would not get this option, just a choice of two maps already on the disk?

so what do you guys think?

I've always thought that it would be easiest just to implement a system like CoD's, where you can jump in and out of games with no penalties. It might not work with the ranking system, though, and I'm not an expert so it's probably a lot harder then it sounds. I WOULD like a "Prefer this map" setting so I wouldn't get stuck on Sandtrap Heavy anymore -_-

I do like the idea but I don't think it should be 100 percent certain to be a mythic map. It should play all the other ones also. It should just set off the people who don't have that disk and only play the ones who do. It would give you the chance of having those maps but wouldn't guarantee it every time. If you were getting the mythic maps everytime, it would make getting the mythic achievements too easy.

That's way off topic for one. Besides that fact, that would be a terrible idea. Leaving games without penalty means you can leave a game if you are losing basically cheating your way to 100% exp effectiveness and easy 50s. Prefering a map would be retarted because that is just giving the user an advantage because he can opt out of the maps he has a disadvantage on.
