all of the stuff i say is my opinion. if you dont agree then give a well thought, constructive criticism. if you agree then back up my stuff and add further information.

there is way too much spamming of grenades in halo 3. i often see people totally give up the option to pull RT when the baby blue circle at the center of there screen turns red. instead they prefer to be some sort of human mortar, chucking every shield destroying grenade they have in there inventory. its not funny having all of theses explosives flying through the air all of the time making me one shot. if i wanted to be one shot all the time i would play team swat.

i think in halo: reach there we should only be able to carry one of each grenade type. after we die our grenades should disappear rather quickly if our killer doesnt pick them up. there should be less grenades that spawn on the map and they shouldnt respawn so quickly.that would help reduce the amount of to be spammed. grenades should be treated as a support weapon, used only used in certain situations like for taking out a guy in sword room or damaging a team guarding there flag. if you limit the grenades then people might actually save them and and put some thought into using them.

melee in halo 3 is too powerful. its so easy to do, its knocks out shields, you spawn with it, it never runs out of ammo, it comes with a small lunge ability (seems huge), any oh yeah its consequence free.

in reach it should melee should be nerfed to only take out a quarter of your shields. also there shoould be no lunge or aim assist for it meaning it will take a little more skill to pull off.

i like everything... once i read the first sentence i already understood and agree. grenades are vital, but they need to seem more important. making less would make that so. great thinking. however...

the melee should stay the same, your a super soldier, master chief killed a man in one swift punch to the grill. these men are genetic/ bio enhanced. they can punch through steel man.

thanks for a good first post.

it is true that we are super soldiers and are incredibly strong but dont we also have awesome armor and shields that should protect us from such forces? also is a spartan punch equivalent to falling nearly 2 km out of the sky? and its not very good for gameplay when any noob can take out your shields.

or how about grenade delay
and melee is imposible on halo 1 so keep the auto aim BUT,make it do quater damage and push other players back.

I think the number of grenades players use is just fine, if they nerf them.

If they don't...OP's idea is pretty good.

Even a fool can counter-melee you as you are meleeing him. There is a likely chance that you will die as well if you didn't do enough damage to him and even if you survive you are shieldless and will probably get slaughtered if anybody sees you with a battle rifle.

Consequence free eh? Hardly.

Haha, 10 of each at start made me laugh. That would turn into the map Desert Glory on SOCOM if anyone is familiar with the ridiculous amount of exploding grenades right as the match started.
