I heard a rumor that after reach bungie is handing over halo to 343 Studios. Is this really true?

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Bungie gave up the Halo IP two years ago.

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

Bungie gave Halo over to Microsoft (which then created 343 Industries) in 2007.

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Frank O'Connor has Halo now, we should be fine.

someone here know if 343 industries has a web page?
I just want to know for when reach is released I can go to their page for information about the next halo.

That doesn't really mean anything. Nor does it mean the franchise will be fine.

I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

343 is made up of former Bungie employees

How to spell "space"?

S-P-ACE! SPACE!

Not given, it was taken.

  • 10.19.2009 10:01 PM PDT

maybe it was the price Bungie had to paid to get back his independency?

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed, knowing better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives: not men, for flags.
"The Next War"

I think we'll be okay with 343. O'Connor has our backs.

It isnt stupid that they decided to not make more Halo games, one of bungies well known mottos is "We make games we want to play" they dont want to make Halo games anymore so they gave someone else the chance. However since Frank O'Connor is working with 343, it should be fine.

They already are claiming to be making a Halo 4, im not sure if that will be the name but its based on what happens with Master Cheif after the Legendary ending.

Thats not entirely true. And for peoples information 343 Studios isnt just a game studio. they will oversee ALL things Halo, which mean novels, comics, movies and games.

Also decent number of employees for 343 studios are former Ensemble Studio employees (the makers behind Halo Wars, for you slow kids).

"You must be mistaken, Reclaimer. I've met your makers, and they don't even know your name..."

I don't know about a Halo 4. I think the end of the cycle was perfect. Right back where he started: a Chiefsicle in cryostasis. If they add on more it'll just water down the experience. But that's just me.

On the subject, 343 Studios now owns all Halo properties, and is lead by Frank O'Connor, who in my opinion is worthy of our trust. Let's see what happens.

Wow. They didn't "Give Up"

Im sure they had fun with Halo CE,2,3,ODST and Reach. But cmon, at some point everyone is going to want to start a new slate and see what amazing games they could make besides Halo.
forgot halo wars

Bungie didnt make it true, but they advised on it, everything had to be approved before going into the game. Alot of people dont know this but while Halo Wars was being made, Ensemble Studios was shut down, the game was finished by a few dedicated developers.
