I think you should be able to flip mongooses (backflips/front) off jumps, even warthogs if you can get high enough. Without explosions of course, instead of merely falling off. Something to test in the beta possibly.

Like stunts? Pretty pointless, in my opinion...If you're in the middle of a firefight, you're not going to want to accidentally do a back flip whilst the person on the back of your Mongoose is trying to shoot someone...

Not stunts, just pulling back on the joystick to intentionally flip. Plus the guy on the back can still shoot.

That would be cool, being able to flip, but I'd like the potion to stay upside down in a vehicle until you got out, rather than being forced out.

Potion? I meant option XD

it would be awesome but dont think the unsc made them to do front and backflips :p

I mean when you go off of a jump with a passenger, if there's someone directly below you; the passenger is unable to look "down". The only option would be to have to back flip and have you passenger look "up" which would be "down". The vehicles already flip through explosions without having you fall off, so why not intentional rotation.

Yeah but that's ridiculously unrealistic physics wise... When you jump a car in real life, you have no control over it when it enters the air...

You know this is like 500 years+ later right? Besides the mongoose isn't supposed to be a heavy ground vehicle, and you could flip it. You can go vertical in the game alone with free fall time, all they need to do is allow you to be upside down on it.

EDIT : A snowmobile which is probably heavier than a
"mongoose" would be can flip.

Just use a bruteshot like everybody else if you want to do tricks.

You're only taking the wait of the vehicle into account...You're saying you'd want a Mongoose with a driver and gunner to do a backflip? A Spartan weighs arond half a ton, each! That's ATLEAST 1 ton of weight, not including the vehicle or weapons they'd be carrying. I'm surprised a Mongoose could even drive with two Spartans on it, let alone do rolls in mid-air

I didn't say it would be super easy to back flip off any structure. If you look at the driving mechanics Halo 3 already has in its multiplayer, its a possibility. The weight of the characters don't affect the vehicle anyway.

RIP Halo 2 Multiplayer

It makes sense with mongooses, but only if it's really subtle.
