This thread is NOT calling anyone noobs or anything like that.

To start with, i think that dual wielding should not be allowed on Halo Reach, just like on ODST as it makes the game easier for people who cant combat efficiently without two guns. The main combo that can kill you easily is a Plasma Rifle/Plasma Pistol and an SMG/Spiker. These combos allow the user to take out the energy shield with the plasma based weapon then kill the opponent easily with the SMG/Spiker.

I know that not all people use this option to kill someone or it is not always the main method others use to kill people but, no dual wielding would make it more of a skill-based game to kill the enemies.

The only problem you could get with this is that the people that have to kill others with a dual combo might complain. I know someone who thinks that Halo 3 is blam! as it take him "4 round of the AR to kill someone"

Please comment and tell me what you think about dual wielding and whether it should be alowed on Reach.
Thanks for you time.

give me ONE good reason not to have it? seriously?

your argument doesn't work, because that combo is barely stronger than the AR, but you have no grenade and no melee.

with the plasma/smg combo you take out the energy shield no problem then use the other weapon to kill the player, much easier than the AR, its the easy method to kill people and i think it needs no skill, thats why it should be taken out of Halo

If all weapons change like Needler changed for Halo3, Reach will probably be quite dull. Dual wielding in Halo2 offered so many aspects to gameplay, and many liked it. "No one" in Halo3 dual wields because it's "&(#¤"ed up.

If you want balance - have only 1 or 2 weapons in the entire game.

ODST is quite a fun game, but always picking up just a "Plasma Rifle" or a "Mauler" makes things unimaginative. What if I want to pick up a weak shotgun and a weak rifle? Now there are none. Weapons become more similiar with each other.

Bungie just needs to balance it better

AR has more range and power than SMG or PR. SMGs and PRs usually aren't (shouldn't) next to each other so getting both of them takes "skill".

I dose not have as much to do with balance as much as it has to do with smoother game play, maybe it's just me but i thought game play ran smoother and was funner with out them, and n halo 2 i found 1 SMG every bit as fun as 2, in halo 3 however, Plasma and spike FTW,

i would actually like duels if you could melee and store them,
i think that would smooth it out a Little. what i do not think you should be able to do is reload

so I'm unsure, i guess I'll see later

If it's like it is in Halo 3 it won't matter. All of the dual weapons were severely nerfed and the only starting dual is the magnum (the higher inaccuracy makes it not really worth dualing). If you happen to collect two weapons that work well together, you only have a small advantage over the assault rifle. It brings diversity to weapons that would otherwise be similar.
