In Halo 1 we had health packs. Also in Halo 1 we did not have xbox live.BUT if there is health packs in reach and matchmaking it will ruin the game like really fast just like ODST.Like for example:You walk in to your first game into matchmaking in REACH and when you need a health pack some noob is going to be in that spot where the health pack is and kill you.....Its the perfect noob attack and lots of people will stop playing because of that.

The last time I tried to make a quote, a car smashed through my wall and the tire hit my grandmother in the other room. But for those of you who can haz once more between five, I say it will be five between seven divided by zero multiplied by Chick Norass and Broce Tee.

That's odd. It worked perfectly fine in the first Halo. On PC.

Wow, screw you.

ODST had healthpacks, and because of the timeline Reach falls under, I'll bet it'll have healthpacks too.

But, it probably won't. Because people like you will throw a hissy fit, and unfortunately you make up most of the gaming population.

She walks around and makes beaver noises.
What sound does a beaver make?
Wait...it's not a beaver. It's an otter noise.

Signatures are for squares.

Mark V did not have Built in Biofoam in the suit to heal wounds.
Mark VI did.

Therefor Reach will use Health packs, and it worked perfectly in Halo CE.

Do not -blam!-.

Health packs would require people to think, and not mindlessly rush.

Besides, Halo PC had online play, and it worked fine.

I wish they would allow signatures at the end of someones post... Would be fun.

Meh. It would have its ups and downs. But if people want to play Halo with health packs then they should play ODST or Combat Evolved. I mean Bungie's games have evolved so much with weaponry, vehicles, and shielding that they would have to put so much more effort into making the game fair. Halo is fine as it is. Although Halo 2 was the best.

Bungie tries to make games that everyone wants to play. But health packs will not be taken very well by most online gamers. Plus, they know that people will be griping if they made you rely on health packs to get back stamina or whatever. And the MLG community, don't get me started.

I don't have a signature so don't look.

i think that would mess up online play cause if the packs dont come back one team can just take all of your health packs so you cant restore health

You never played much CE MP did you?

Health packs added a strategic twist to it, meaning that you couldn't barge into every fight and walk out fine.

I would welcome their return.

I second this it keeps the players from rushing constantly pulling it away from the "run and gun" and "spray and pray" actions of most players

Do not -blam!-.
HA HA HA bungie made that up to justify rechargeable shields, they could easily just make something up so they have the same shields in reach

With that logic, Bungie just made up Halo all together.

Looks like we can change whatever we want then, it is made up.

ya thanks for proving my point even more, bungie can put whatever they want into their games and make up the backstories and fiction... that's what they've always done, that's how new weapons and game mechanics are added into the universe.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

This original post contains no proof.

He posted only conjecture, and his theory from his limited experience.

You could do that.

But, most people value consistency and strong plot to "lets throw whatever we want and change it around as we please" sort of attitude.

The biofoam was a canonical reason, and canon should never be changed, unless for a very good reason.

MP gameplay is not one, as a custom game option or just health packs would suffice.

health pack idea is completely subjective, you either love it or you hate pretty much. I don't like the idea but if they did implement health packs I would want halo 1's because I didn't like the fact that you couldn't see how much stamina you had in ODST.

Of course.

I mean, I too had trouble when my screen turned red and my character started panting.

What does that mean?

Seriously though, I'm sure they'll include shields, as they got their Mark 5 armor shortly before Reach.
