Would anyone be interested in a fileshare button that reports and or blocks objects in fileshares, namely pictures? Now, you may be thinking, "What if someone who doesn't like you or is jealous just reports you for no reason. You would lose you awesome picture!" This is why I propose that 10 or more reports would have to be submitted on a picture in order for it to be blocked or reviewed. Also, if there is a picture that occurs in many peoples fileshares, they would all be blocked providing that they are all by the same author or derived from the same author. The main pictures I am thinking of are the ones made of guns used to create a rude image.Obviously, Bungie has the modded ones under control. Anyway, heres how it could work.

Report button

This is rather self-explainatory, there would be a button used to report an object in a fileshare. As said above, there would have to be around 10 reports filed for action to be taken. On to the next option...

Block Button

This also is fairly self-explainatory. However, the button would only block the item for you, not for everyone. I really don't see any downfall to this option except that it may take a little longer to program. Anyway, if a map/film/picture/gametype (don't know why you would block a gametype, but still) is selected to be blocked, any item that has that same author or is derived from the same author and is the same item would be blocked.

I appreciate feedback and advice.

Well, it seems like it would be a beneficial feature that would reduce rude images in fileshares and make Halo a slightly cleaner game.

A report button already exists here on b.net though a block button does sound interesting.

Maybe it could just set it as a "warned" picture that notifies you of bad content, sort of like on b.net. You can still see the pic, but you know it's offensive.

On b.net, yes, but I was talking about having one directly on the fileshare in Halo: Reach.

The warned option sounds interesting. Are you saying that you would set it to warned? If so, why not just block it, wouldn't you be the only one that would set it to blocked? Of course there should be an unblock option.

If you really wanted to report a file then logging onto b.net should be a problem.

I believe you meant should not. Anyway, some people don't have b net accounts. Second, if you're in matchmaking and come across an image that is rude, it's much easier to simply click a button on the game.

Well it would immediately be warned for you (maybe in a diff way than a community warn) and wait for review to be community warned.
