As we all know, Halo has something called power-ups. The two primary power-ups, the overshield and active camouflage, can augment your shields and make you invisible, respectively.
I'll make a list of sorts, to better organize this post.
Shape
In Halo 1 & 2, they were in the shape of a cube (overshield), and pyramid (camo). In Halo 3 however, they became huge floating orbs, which, in my opinion, was not a good thing.
Now, that's the problem I have with the current shape of the power-ups; they're huge floating orbs. Imagine putting them in a narrow hallway, they'll just block it. Worst of all, you can't shoot through them.
My suggestion, make the power-ups a small pyramid and cube again. This way, we can actually place them anywhere without blocking a line of sight.
Effects
In Halo 1 the active camo was not very good. It didn't provide much invisibility, in fact you looked like a member of the Blue Man Group (Okay, I'm exaggerating), and it lasted about 45 seconds. The overshield provided 2 extra shields, and depleted gradually. However you could not tell if someone had an overshield.
In Halo 2, the active camo was upgraded. Much more invisibility, but not total invisibility, and it still lasted about 45 seconds. It had the "Predator Effect". The overshield was largely unchanged, with the exception of the player glowing when they had an overshield.
Halo 3, the active camo was upgraded and downgraded. It provides almost total invisibility, but now only lasts about 20 seconds. The overshield was changed too. It only provides one extra shield, now, but you become invincible for 5 seconds after grabbing it. You also glow a lot brighter than in Halo 2. In my opinion, the active camo is too good, while the overshield is too weak.
How should the effects of power-ups be in Reach? Well, I think Halo 2 had it right. Maybe give the active camo a little more invisibility, but nowehere near as much as in Halo 3. And let the overshield give two extra shields again, but remove the invincibility.
And another thing. In Halo 3, if you pick up active camo, then an overshield, you lose the active camo. It's ridiculous. However, it doesn't apply if you pick up an overshield first. So in Reach, if I pick up both an overshield and active camo, I'd like to keep them both.
Custom Power-ups
One of Halo 3's nice features is the ability to make a custom power-up. However, in Halo 3, I don't think you can make more than one unique power-up.
In Reach, we should be able to make many different custom power-ups, with more customization. We should be able to customize the effects, of course, but we should also be able to customize the look of it too (Shape and color). For example, a purple sphere, or a green cube.

I would like to be able to change the shape between the orbs and stuff.
Perhaps we can move each corner and side by dragging it into a shape we like.
Like we could actually make a door out of the power-up or make it a small "berry" on a tree.
Well, that's all I've got.
Thoughts?
