Subject: The Books mess up the Halo Universe

Posted by: Pahat Pojat

Halo: CE came out in November 2001 while TFoR came out in October 2001.

Thanks for the correction. I edited my post for accuracy.

Without the books people would still have been mistaking Master Chief for a robot

Haha true! I remember reading in my Halo CE manual about how the Master Chief was a cyborg.

A Hell Jumper - Heroic, a Spartan - Legendary, be We're Mythic; Spartan Mythic Team.
Mythic Actual / Mythic 1
Post to everyone who complains about Reach instead of shutting up and playing something else. http://initiativedesignz.webs.com/HaloReachStuff/Fixn.jpg

The books wouldn't make the flood being in Reach stupid- Halo CE would because its basically more than obvious that that was the 1st tim they were seen in Reach. The books add too the series, I'd probably like Halo alot less if there wasn't these books to actually explain everything left out of the games. Yes they could have made it so that they do explain things in the games- but w/ the prossible exception of Reach Bungie probably wouldn't do that. PLUS how on earth do the books make it so they can ONLY make prequels? the books don't even talk about the future- they are different sides of the story before or during each game, not after. ((non of the books go past H3 is what I'm saying))

That's all I have to say about that.

The books are better than the game. If the games had the storyline and played out like the books do, then i would play campaign a lot more.

All this said, it would take ridiculous programming to put everything from the books into the games.

The books as shadow said are what basically made the story and combined w/ the games make the experience the games therefore are limited in perspective to only a few characters and w? exception to parts of halo 2 are all from the USNC point of view mainly Master Chief. However the books also include things the USNC could never have known enriching the experience (w/ the exception of The Flood that one just sucked) also they don't limit the story for Reach as much as some of you think because we still have a limited perspective of the battle besides whats the problem these are probably NEW characters meaning there encounters weren't in the books therefore no problem.

The flood being in reach would be retarded after all they weren't officially encountered by the USNC until Halo CE just read the books!

lastly the forerunner structure seemed to be why the covenant may have attacked reach in the 1st place same w/ earth
