Subject: Halo 2 Vista Requirements...

I'm not really a PC gamer, but I was thinking of getting H2V, but I'm not too keen on whether my PC will be able to play the game. I've checked the requirements for H2V, and it says it needs a 2.0 GHz processor, and from what I can tell, my PC falls in at 1.8 GHz. Is this a big deal? (Sorry if this is a dumb question... as I am not a PC gamer, I'm ignorant as to how much the game will be affected by the quality of my PC.) So, anyway, if my computer does not have all the requirements, does that significantly affect gameplay, slightly affect it, or make it unplayable?

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

2.0GHz is the minimum. Even the minimum gives you terrible framerates. Your processor means H2V will be completely unplayable.

Hey captain seriously you don't have to sacrifice yourself to kill the scarab. Their actually pretty easy to kill. You just have to jump in the back and shoot this little light. Remember captain from training where they showed us how to kill it? Captain... CAPTAIN... oh god damn it seriously?

Are you using a desktop or laptop?

Laptop. My desktop would probably be better for playing it, but it's an XP, so I would have to learn how to make H2V work on it.

Or I could just bug my parents to be me a new laptop. I need one anyway.

Using on a laptop would be a no no. I have it and im on a laptop and it doesnt work properly even tho my graphics card, ram, and cpu are more than enough to play it. It doesnt work well with integrated graphics.

So would it be a difficult task to get it to work on XP? Would I still have all the features? (Online, Achievements, etc)

Prove it. Given that I've seen people with 2.8GHz processors get crap FPS, I have no reason to believe you.

Is there any way to make my laptop not have integrated graphics? Or do all laptops have them no matter what?

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Not all do, when you buy your laptop, get one of those where you select the options. Then, look under video card and pick a nvidia or ati card that is above the minnium. Dont just settle for intel or ati radeon xpress graphics.

Oh, and laptops cant have their video card upgraded.

I think 99% of the time the card is sodered to the mother board for laptops. Ripping that puppy off and putting another on would be near impossible... I think.

You can do it, but only on certian laptops which already have dedicated video cards, not cheap IGPs soldered to the motherboard.
