Check out my Gaming Rig on EVGA Mod Rigs.

I have a full time job, girlfried, and daughter. And seeing as you have nothing better to do than flame people seems to me like you're the one with no life.

I'm 24 and have MC figures from many different series. Even a limited Master Chief Evolution Set and RC Warthog.. Personally I don't buy any other game figures only Halo and have been collecting them for some time.

I really couldn't speak for quality OOB because they are still packaged sitting together.

Bungie please don't renew your liscense with McFarlane. Their figures are low quality, often come damaged or deffective, and break easily. Please get a liscense with a company who actually puts some work into their figures so they can be posed and put on a shelf or be moved often, not put in a trash can or junk pile.

I don't buy the action figures, but if I did poor quality figures would suck and be a let down. Hope they get better ones for all of you who this is important to.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Quality first, bungie.

I picked up one of those as well. I rather dislike the sword hilt, they should have packaged whole sword instead.

i bought a grif ball recon figure one of the comic con exclusives and quite frankly it looks like crap. but any way ill get some dough off it because it was a comic con exclusive.

thats what i thought im like hmmm where did the rest of the sword go but i guess im ok with it since im probably not going to open it.

i think whats wrong with the action figure is that they tried to make the armor too detailed on a small surface toy

  • 10.21.2009 9:50 PM PDT

Its a trap!!!

I must say I was let down as well. The hips look absurdly big.

The EVA helmets look like the vary from shape. Some being oval the other almost being completly round.

I was suprised to see these toys have that much inconsistancy

I was also disapointed that I saw no Mark V spartans. Halo CE is still loved by many and armor permutation for the helmet is in the game. They are going to make the stupid Rookie before they make a Mark V?

It would of been kool to change shoulders like they do the heads to really experiment with armor styles. So you can actually make your spartan that you use in Matchmaking

The weapon pack was an all right idea but it was missing the BR and snipers for some reason. I would say the only figures that look decent to me are the Blue Elites

I actually liked the Joyride Mark Vs. Well only the white and black one. They were less detailed but were consistant and didnt have retarded hips.

I mean jeeze did anyone look at the hips and say that doesnt look right... no they said i dont give a flying blam! and just packaged it to shake the money out of people in Halos name. Just like hollywood takes a beloved franchise like Street Fighter or DBZ and make it crap but make a quick buck off the name

Yeah, I was surprised at how small the McFarlane figures are as well, in comparison to the JoyRide Halo CE and Halo 2 figures. They went from giant Spartans to midget Spartans, heh. I suppose that's what kept me from buying one also. That, and the only one I'd want is the Grifball Recon figure. Man, Grifball is fun. I miss the Double XP Playlist...

Anyway, I'd say the best were definitely the Halo 2 figures though. The BR and Sniper from that series even had removable ammo clips.

I agree. I used to collect action figures in Primary School. I even collected Toy Fare Magazine. McFarlane used to make quality action figures, but their Halo figures are pathetic and the paint job blows. Too bad Hasbro and other toy companies equally suck these days. I miss old McFarlane and some of the better collectibles from Toy Biz. Kids today have lame action figures.

Hey, you know my birthday is coming soon, wanna get me one? Please? :D

And I dont blame people for collecting this stuff, i mean its a way to remember something that brought joy to their life. But they should upgrade quality, I mean if enough people go together you could sue for a "faulty" product that will break, unless the box says its fragile or something.

Well I don't know about modern Hasbro........but when I was a young little kid, my Hasbro Transformers could stand years of being thrown at stuff.......after 8 years, they are still like what they were when I first ripped them out of the package.

I know they are models, but they are supposed to be good quality.......sometimes their limbs come off the first second they are removed from the package.......I have seen some COLLECTORS complain about the McFarlane Halo Figures' quality, not just kids.

Bungie please don't renew your liscense with McFarlane. Their figures are low quality, often come damaged or deffective, and break easily. I don't really care that much if Bungie renew their liscense with McFarlane,
If they do, I would buy one or two, but that is because I make stop motions with the figures I do not collect them (=

  • 10.23.2009 6:26 AM PDT

I disagree, I have most of the McFarlane figures and I proudly display them on my shelf-o-halo. I have no complainants with them.

Halo: Out with a whimper
A fan made kick ass 2D Halo.

"The crunch on Halo 2 was, 'Oh my god, we're f***ed. We're all going to die.'" ~ Chris Carney

I was going to buy a mongoose and orange spartan once, but amazon didn't have it at all. I was disappointed but i'm kinda glad now though as it sounds like the wheels, a leg and an arm would have fallen off after an hour =p
