Which card do you have? And do you have the latest drivers for it?

Mine only shows explosions if I push the on-board video to do it. Mine does the same thing, but I don't have the video card that it needs. I'm trying to take it easy online as well. Because of the lack of textures, I can see people that I shouldn't be able to see. In the interest of fairness I have to get a video card!!! As a matter of fact, I would like someone to point me to a site with reccommendations about video cards that are optimal for Halo-CE. Moderately priced of course.

GameJunkieJim,

Try Anandtech or Tom's Hardware for websites that do regular roundups of the latest video cards. While you won't find anything specifically pertaining to Halo CE there, you should be able to make a wise decision based on the reviews. If you put a little bit of time into researching your options, you'll come out of it all with the video card that's right for you. If you're not into the technical aspect of computers, just check out the benchmarks and conclusions they post with each article. Then go to a website such as zipzoomfly and price out what you can afford. :)
