I've seen many ideas about the teleporter, one in particular being able to drive through a teleporter. I think that would be a great addition to Reach multiplayer if possible.

I think they should still keep the current teleporter, but upgrade it so that you can maybe through things through it, maybe like 'nades or equipment. Bullets may be out of the question. For vehicles maybe make a different teleporter, one that is more larger so vehicles can fit through like a tank for instance. And maybe these teleporters will teleport them at a slow rate.

Example: Only the part of the tank that is going through is teleported. Almost like you could have half a tank coming out of one teleporter while the other is going through it.

Would this be a good upgrade for it? What do you guys think?

A better thing to do would be to keep the teleporter the same, but add a portal that you can shoot/nade/drive through.

Yes there should be vehicle teleporters that do what they say on the tin maybe on forge you can constrict what can go through the teleports (grenades, bullets, equipment and people)

My friend and I always had a blast shooting RPG's through teleports in Duke Nuke 3D - awesome fun!

Driving vehicles through teleports is kind of weird, but it works with me.

Only bad stuff is it if its CTF and the teleporter is right beside it, you get mashed in seconds :/

If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

I actually like this idea. It will help against people who camp portals and such.

With the new engine i think they can. I would love to see snipes/ sticks through the teleporter.

Reach needs a better teleporter design. They always look out of place for some reason.

There should also be a larger teleporter that does all of the functions you described, and you should be able to see through it with a slight ripple effect when things travel through it.

Would you be able to see to the other side?

If so, wouldn't there be a problem with infinitely looping portals that look through each other?

I like the ripple effect. You see what's out there before actually going through.
