Subject: FLOOD? Yes or no?

I think that we all don't want them to be in there . But they will be there anyway.

Underwater Eagle.

NO. Not only would putting the flood in destroy the cannon, but a suitable replacement for it would also destroy the storyline.

The covenant are still fun to kill, with or without the flood interfering.

um, the flood never was on reach. FYI. so we won't fight it, and i doubt there will be an enemy like it.

But in Halo Wars, Spartans were around, and they were attacked by the FLOOD. I understand Bungie didn't make Halo Wars, but it still followed the same story line.

Don't hate... ...loathe.

Ensomble made the game a closed story arc so it could ignore the canon and make a full raced Halo RTS and not interfere with the Bungie plot. Most look past its story for this reason.

If you've got an idea for a gametype or map for Halo Reach matchmaking, or you simply want to help other people get their ideas fully realized, then join The Guardianz!

Who needs flood when we get to, once again, fight elites!

But weren't the Brutes who attacked Reach? I thought the reason that the Brutes weren't in Halo: CE was because all of them were occupied with taking Reach.

Hmm. Pancakes are good, huh?

This wouldn't make sense. The flood are released from the halo in Halo CE, so they wouldn't be around before that time. Unless flood appeared on Reach then were locked up?

flood yeah reach had flood, a flood of covanate (spelling?)

We do not need Flood, and Elites are their replacement.

No.

There's no place in the story for it.

I'd have to say no. In the Halo timeline Reach happened before Halo CE, which is where the flood was introduced/discovered. I think making weapons a little more archaic in appearance as well as de-evolving the look of covenant and spartan armor would be cool. I think having an enemy between Jackal and Elite difficuly would work. They could have shields and plasma rifles or something.

No. Just no.

No Flood were on the planet Reach, and there is no need for an enemy to take its place (see: ODST).

We don't need flood in Reach. Neither do we exactly need a replacement.

Iam enjoying Halo Reach and revisiting some past Bungie games, iam a big fan of Bungie and their online community.

I doubt there will be any Flood in Reach.

There should be no flood in Halo: Reach. The book Halo: The Fall of Reach has no flood. They are not even in the story yet. There are not even any Halo rings found yet.

By the first halo game there are other spartans just not in the game. Master Chief and Captain Keys finding the halo ring after fleeing the planet Reach just changed everything. There were still Spartans hiding in underground bases on Reach after they lost the planet. There is also Spartan Grey Team in the outer colonies left alone on perpose because thats what the squad was good at. Being alone. As far as the story goes Grey Team is still alive by the end of Halo 3.

Though there being flood in Halo Wars seems to be a hole in the story. If I can remember, finding the first halo ring in Halo:CE is the finding of the forerunners, thier technology and flood. So the events in Halo Wars, which takes place before Halo:CE, there should be no flood unless the events in Halo Wars were kept under wraps by ONI. Im going to check Halo Wars in game timeline right now.

edit- ok it seems that ONI just kept the first encounter with the flood in Halo Wars and the Shield Planet as classified information. Until they are found again on the halo rings.
