it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

I knew it would only be a matter of time till this thing came up. Now there will be over 10 topics about sprinting. In Halo 3 it was worse, everyone thought the X button would be used for that.

No I don't think so. There is no need to sprint in any halo game. you are practically sprinting all the time anyway.

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

If it's done well.

OMG.
-Hold Y to holster both of your weapons so you have free hands.
-You can run a lot faster for 10 seconds
-The more you run the more exhausted you will get
-- Weaker melee
-- Less accuracy
-- A bit slower jogging, reloading and weaker jump
-- Maybe ODST style lack of stamina effect

I salute you good sir. The abillity to admit that sometimes you are wrong is a rare and valuable trait that most of us (including me) don't have.

ya, gotta know who you are...

It would be a bad idea. Just like having a dodge function is a bad idea. Unless the maps are huge there's no real reason for it. And if you got technical, the MC can run a 40 or 50 something Kph.
Just imagine a map like Isolation. You'd be running into stuff all the time, bouncing off or deflecting off of surfaces. Or just think of how stupid it would look for you to come to a dead stop, when you hit a wall. Or they'd have to animate some kind of tripping function, or stumble. This isn't 3rd person shooter. I don't see it happening. In CoD it's different, you can't run as fast as a car.

Steam ID is crunklyomy
I'll play some tf2 or l4d with anyone who feels like it.

The fastest spartan, kelly can sprint at 60+ kilometers per hour (it might be faster, i haven't read the books in ahwile, but it's definiteley 60 or more). That considered, moving in multiplayer is rather slow.

Well you do see how this could be, bad though? I mean for gameplay sake he moves at the perfect pace.

Just think of how funny it would look to have everyone sprinting around that fast all of the time. It would break everything about the gameplay. Just think of the "Speed Demons" variant. You see how fast the zombie players are moving. Do you really think this could work all the time? And what button would you use?
