Subject: Idea about Sierra 320 and The First Strike Novel.

So after rewatching the trailer and re-reading the halo novels, I realized something that connects between the two. Also before i say this i did use the search bar with no results so sorry if its been mentioned.

During the trailer, you hear a few interesting things. One of which is "This is Sierra-320, prepped for combat insertion" Then "were coming in hot, hold on" and "we just lost our bird." Well in the book First Strike, it explains the ground team of spartans on Reach. Well on the way down in a pelican, the pilot is killed and control is lost which causes the spartans to jump out. Here is where the connection is.

The line were coming in hot may refer to the pelican coming in without control, and the we just lost our bird may also refer to them losing control, or the pilot dying. Sierra 320 could either be a spartan that hasnt yet been mention in the books, or a pelican. However if this is correlating with the books then it isnt the spartans pelican because its called Bravo One and the pilot is male and the voice is female.

Anyone like to add or change anything? Comments?

Neato! A theory that actually has evidence to support it. That explains why it's being ignored by the other forum users.

"You must be mistaken, Reclaimer. I've met your makers, and they don't even know your name..."

There's still some debate on what the TACNET operator is saying at the end, could that be the Pelican wing's callsign?

I'm xAssault12x, and I love the Halo Universe. Discussion please!

This has been mentioned in older threads but it was not the topic of the thread.

The quotes about loosing our bird and were coming in hot most likely refeer to the Spartans but the Sierra 259 and 320 are still confusing as hell. It is most likely Spartans call signs but we know of no Spartans with those numbers.

It is all so cinfusing. Waiting is all we can do. E3 will most likely be the next time we get a trailer and then after that we will most likely get to play the beta.

im not sure, another thing worth mentioning though, the voice that says sierra 320 is female and a pilot of the longswords that escort the spartans pelican down is also female, however this doesnt really make sense with the combat insertion line. The longswords call sign is Knife Two-Six.
