pad117 rocks!!!!!! not being big headed...........

I was thinking earlier that it would be really cool if you could change certain things in forge other than just scenery. I think it would be really cool if you could change the weather, time of day and even add in background sounds such as guns firing or the sound of a city under attack, with people screaming and fires crackling, or even the sound of birds or trees rustling in the wind. What does everyone else think of this?

I think you should be able to Forge Grunts into your maps. They would kill everyone by default, but you could set them to be on a team.

I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

I really like the idea of background noises, it could easily be implemented too - even probably in H3 Forge (look at the lighting effects).

Again a weather adjuster would be amazing, but you've got to consider the tone of maps though... For example, Sandbox would seem almost wrong in the light, as goes for Standoff and Valhalla in the dark.

Brilliant and well thought suggestions. Hope we see this in the final cut. :3

FYI: there's been a million post just like this one.

but i still support the idea 100%, and i think forging firefight maps would be cool 2 (maybe it will forfeit your high score if you forge it at all)

List of new things forge needs:
-Undo/redo button (this might be hard)
-Weather/sound effects variability
-Ability 2 add non players into the game like grunts, brutes,etc.. If Bungie wants 2 end illegal modding, why not add those aspects to forge so ppl wudnt have 2 mod. Everyone loves a good modded map so why not add it to forge?
-this is not directly related to forge, but more customization options when making gametypes. I h8 wen i want a game like griffball, only it has sum infection elements and sum team slayer in it, but i cant make it since the options arent there. every option shud be added to every gametype as long as the origional gametype is still there
-Forge Sets: what im talking about is, when opening the menu during forge to add scenery, vehicles, etc... there needs to be an option to switch which scenery set u are using. for instance, a game on narrows that involved ppl crossing the bridge while getting shot at by 2 floating tanks on eithr side wud be awesome, but u cant add tanks to narrows. so u shud be able to switch to maybe... sandboxes's forge set. or rat's nest's forge set. with all the items from those maps. this would make forge ssooo much bettr.
-resizing objects. U shud be able to resize the basic blocks on every map. x1, x2, x4, x8, etc..
-A geomerge option. Instead of having to go thru the painstakign process of combining scenery or making things float, there shud be an option to turn geomerge On/Off to merge objects.
-Grid mode shud be available on all maps. Although sumtimes this might get tricky for maps like last resort or narrows
-this is kind of random and weird but if u cud make objects move. like slowly moving platforms to get from one place to anothr. Like take a block, tell it to travel 2 meters upwards at a slow speed like an elevator. or accross a gap. this wud be nice.
Those of u who read my whole list and made it to the bottom THANK YOU and i hope this helped
