I just read another topic about bots but it did not go into great detail or explain. What i want is bots in custom games(Slayer,CTF,KOTH, etc.). So if me and 3 friends (who are unfamiliar with the game) want to have fun and don't have to start up a matchmaking game and continuously get owned. I'm not talking about bots in matchmaking as that would be plain stupid and game play would be flawed. Instead with these four players i could make 12 bots and have a full custom game of 16. Maybe have a difficulty modifier on them and/or playing style(Objective player, Slayer, Driver,etc.). This could also be a good way to warm up or just wait for your friends to get out of a match. Then your not stuck playing small games all the time when your really wanting to play some big team and have a good time.

Light a log on fire and a man will be warm for the rest of the day. Light a man on fire, and that man will be warm for the rest of his life.

I think there should be both bots, and AI in forge so you can sortof 'build your own campaign'

It would take too much time and would result in substandard AI that cannot think and reason and that you and your friends woudld easily destroy.

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

It sounds like it would be fun, but I don't know how such an idea would work properly (or effectively).

Yeah i see your point, Just an idea because the games like that are the ones you can play for hours on end with your buddies, Not saying i couldn't do that with halo just for the more casual players.

I've always wanted bots for Halo multiplayer.

Theres always co-op. I'm guessing that Bungie is going to try to make Reach's campaign the most replayable of all the Halos.

Believe.

Bots?

No, Not firefight covenant bots but actual Player models that you would play in Matchmaking. No Covenant unless they make another firefight mode for Reach.

In my honest opinion, bots are pretty much a thing of the past.
It's so easy to get into matchmaking now that AI like that isn't really that necessary.
Which isn't to say that I don't enjoy playing against bots; 007 Nightfire is one of my all time favourite games =)
