Subject: The Bloodline

I was thinking about a new species called"the Bloodline." they are like monsters, covered in neon-red blood, and very loud and uncivilized. Should they be in Reach?

And why do said bloodline not appear in subsequent Halo games?

  • 10.23.2009 4:59 PM PDT

They also have razor sharp claws, instead of fingers. They scream loud enough to make your brain explode.

Uncivilized societies having vacations?

Somethings are out of knowledge of the Covanent and the UNSC.

They were wiped out in Reach, they proved such a massive threat that a full blown attack had to be launched to wipe out the hole species.

Their story can be told by a red-armored Brute, nicknamed by the UNSC "Bruno", an old friend of the Arbiter.Bruno is the ONLY brute that joined the UNSC. They also get wiped out in Reach.

No Group Invites.
Worst idea ever...http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8664824

No. And to answer the last question: "should they be in Halo Reach?" No for two reasons:
1. I don't like the idea.
2. It is far to late to add a new species to the game.

And how did they come to be on Reach if they are uncivillized and therefore haven't discovered space travel yet?

The answer better not involve the words "underground", "imulsion", or "emergence day".

Think about it. The Flood are uncivilized and they made their appearance. Besides, the Bloodline have a unique "space skull"and that allows them to travel, through space, at inbelievable speeds, via telepathic transport. The said skull of theirs also protects them from the harsh environment known as "space".

...Space Skull?
...Seriously?

I'll play along. What is their motivation?

Flood aren't uncivilized, their a hive mind.

Also, you should never design any works of fiction. Ever. I would rather be sodomized with a Twilight novel then play a game featuring "The Bloodline" and "Bruno" the Brute.

Or the were some Elites, unaware of the war, that brought them to their home planet, to experiment on this new species. But, they underestimated the strength of the Bloodline, and while in space, were killed and the ship crashed on Reach. :)

Revenge.

Because the chances of their ship that is traveling through slipspace coming out and actually hitting something is astronomically small. Literally.

In addition, the war has been going on for 20 years before the Battle of Reach. The elites are part of the covenant. There is no way that you can be "unaware" of a war that is spanning the bloody galaxy.

In addition, why did Bruno the Brute decide to join the UNSC?

And "Revenge" is not an answer. Revenge for what? I thought that the UNSC and the Covenant had never heard of the Bloodline.

the elites that captured the Bloodline were gone for about 32 years, on an expedition to find them.(they sent a communication device into space, to capture any other species lifeforms.) they saw the UNSC on their way back home, got completely blind-sided, and the Bloodline on the ship killed them, while they were trying to avoid enemy fire.

They wanted revenge on the ones who took them from their home planet. they originally ignored the UNSC, but they got attacked by them, when one of the marines shot and killed one.

And, Bruno helped the UNSC to make the Covanent(or at least the Arbiter) see that the Great Journey was indeed a lie.

Sound like something out of gears, No place in halo.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

So they are unbeatable because your brain will explode as soon as they see you? Sounds... dumb.

They scream as a last resort: their brains explode, too.And it takes about 5 seconds for them to reach that "brain-exploding volume".
