Subject: The Bloodline

But trying to go back and make it better doesn't neccesarily improve the quality of the story

I don't want to improve anything. Just add more to the story.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

1: Covenant Arrives at Reach.
2: All the Spartans die (well, mostly).
3: Reach is partially glassed.
4: Crystal found underground.
5: Remaining Spartans escape.
6: Reach is completely glassed.
7: End credits roll.

There, I imagined the game progression from start to finish based on the Canon that has already been laid down by Fall of Reach and First Strike.

7 steps to a good story, just like there are 7 steps to world domination.

Its just nice to have an imagination. I like my ideas and I'd be glad to hear yours.

Self confidence in the face of overwhelming opposition is... admireable.

Personally I think that Reach will focus on the pre-established cannon. You will play as an unknown spartan in a squad of five unknown spartans. Presumably you are part of the Red Team of spartans sent to the surface of Reach to defend the generators that power the orbital mac cannons that are keeping the Covenant from encircling Reach.

I must admit though, at least your claim doesn't involve time travel.

  • 10.23.2009 6:35 PM PDT

6: Reach is completely glassed

Thus, killing any remaining Bloodline. You know, this could be an idea for Halo 4 (for those of you who don't want Reach to be the last Halo game.)

  • 10.23.2009 6:35 PM PDT

Sorry. Time travel isn't my thing.

The thing is, the Bloodline just don't have a place in a world that already consists of 4 factions at constant war with one another, 2 sub-factions causing chaos once in a while, and 1 ancient extinct faction there to cause a level of wonder.

  • 10.23.2009 6:38 PM PDT

So, the Bloodline should be out of...Reach? LOLOLOLOLOL!

I think I'm missing something, 4 factions...
Humans, Covenant, Flood...

Btw, is it something about Fridays that makes people more susceptible to being trolled?

4 Factions:
Human
Covenant
Flood
Sentinel

2 Sub-Factions:
Human Rebels
Covenant Heretic/Separatists

1 Extinct Faction:
The Forerunner

To a lesser extent there are also the Precursors, who pre-date the Forerunner, but they hold no level of influence on Halo events during the timeline of the UNSC/Covenant war.

Also, in Halo 3, the Covenant Separatist sub-faction becomes a part of the UNSC faction.

I'm just trying to help him see why his idea wouldn't work.

Nothing is perfectly laid out the first time.

All jokes, aside, though, you're welcome.

In all honesty, the Bloodline are a disgusting, unintelligent, and just plain bloody awful idea (pun intended).

Also in all honesty, TROLL.

But... the best troll in the history of the interwebz.

Ouch! :(

I wish they would allow signatures at the end of someones post... Would be fun.

Think about it. The Flood are uncivilized and they made their appearance. Besides, the Bloodline have a unique "space skull"and that allows them to travel, through space, at inbelievable speeds, via telepathic transport. The said skull of theirs also protects them from the harsh environment known as "space".

Your scaring me. Please, stop. I cant take anymore imagination power.

  • 10.23.2009 7:12 PM PDT

I have an expanded imagination. And as long as I keep thinkin', you gonna keep hearin'.

The Bloodline.

The Bloodline are a ferocious race, similar to the prehistoric "Raptor". They are hunched, but are still the height of an Elite, they move swift and prefer melee attacks using the deadly claws on their hands and feet...they don't mind biting either.

The Bloodline were found by the Covenant on a planet unknown to the humans. The Covenant managed to capture the few they found and "tamed" them. After breaching Reach's defenses the Covenant unloaded them from a massive ship unto the surface of Reach. This plan proved to be a perfect, The Bloodline easily blent in to Reach's forests/jungles and quickly wiped out the UNSC Marine's in the area. Reach's command post couldn't tolerate these new enemies and sent a team of Spartan's to wipe them out, during this mission several Spartan's went "MIA", but The Bloodline was almost wiped out, while the survivors ran out into the other areas of Reach, until they were killed when the Covenant glassed the planet.

Close. But, the Bloodline are more "humanlike". (some stand upright)

Well then, just take the backstory so you have an excuse.

Also Raptor>Humanlike, how cool would it be to have uncivilized more prehistoric Elite like creatures jump at you as you slwoly make your way through a dark and dense forest. It could be as scary as the Flood in Halo CE.
